But surely 'just' selling 500 is exactly what it was intended for? It's allowing those who have gone every week for a few years to get first dibs but with the majority being available to others. I don't think they've nailed it, they are never going to first time, and I understand your frustration around your kids situation, but it's never going to work perfectly and I am hopeful you will all get to go together. Under every situation there is always going to be someone just on the outskirts.

I've gone every week for a few years? But I have to wait to get my daughter who has 60 less points and can't buy without an adult (key point) a ticket , she goes everywhere too

I can buy today, my 13 year old daughter tomorrow , my youngest 10 year old Thursday..

I don't need to say anymore , just look at how ridiculous that is

Have you made any attempt to contact the club about your situation? It's all well and good moaning about it on here, but that's not going to resolve anything. As I posted earlier this just might not have been a scenario that occurred to them, and it might be that they try to resolve your situation by averaging the points between the 3 of you if you let them know of your situation. It might mean that you fall a bit down the pecking order yourself but in this Sunderland scenario you would probably have been able to buy tickets for the 3 of you on Wednesday, which is surely better than your current situation. Of course if the club choose not to give you a fair hearing, then by all means slag them off!

Each match will be different , you have to wait blah blah ..

We would already have sold out by now , instead we are at 500

The woman at the ticket office will probably have no say or influence whatsoever. It's the sort of thing for the fans forum really, which is why I mentioned you sound out @Sky Blue Pete. I appreciate you don't want to wait around for their next meeting, but maybe he has contact details of someone who can have some influence to come up with a more immediate common sense solution along the lines I set out.

This will be a one off. When Millwall and Hull come around there will be no issues, and I reckon this game will make ST holders on Friday.

As for the allocation, we absolutely must respond with an equivalent allocation to retain any self-respect.

I think we’d rather take the money

Out of interest, on the can't buy without an adult point, if you were to buy a ticket today could your daughter add on when her windows in or does you buying today mean she can't buy anymore?

Surely if a group of people want to go and you don't want to buy unless everyone can go you wait until the sales window that covers the person with the lowest points total. If you start saying families or groups can all book with the person with the most points we'll be back to people abusing the system and passing tickets on to their mates.

Of course its not perfect and I'm sure Pete can pass on constructive criticism or suggestions on how to improve things but I'm not sure they'll take on board things designed to change the rules to suit individuals personal circumstances.

I'm going to the stadium tomorrow now I know there is only 500 sold , and having them put all 3 of us together ..

My youngest has just told me literally now she doesn't want to go

I already have mine and my dad's just incase we sold out today

Il be as awkward as the system wants me to be

So I take it this is correct:

The club took a problem that didn't really exist and in fixing said "problem" made things worse.
Boddy's promises that no supporters would be treated better than any others was nonsense in the end
Sunderland on an early Sunday afternoon isn't the draw some people thought

so all the s/t 's during lockdown, Ricoh return phase 1, and this year count for fuck all?

bunch of cunts!!
btw don't forget your bottles of piss and bags of shit to hoy

That will help future allocations

The fans wanted this. They have been bleating on for years that season ticket holders got first dibs.
So now you have your new system, you can now bleat about this.
Be careful what you wish for.

It might be a bit convoluted, but if there was an adult going with kids could they link the accounts and average out the points? So, say, 1500, 1400 and 1000 would be 1300? Then they can buy tickets in that priority window.

As for the overall scheme for this game, setting it up 1200, 1100, 1000 then just down to ST holders seems odd. Also noticed it says 22/23 season ticket holders with xx points. So effectively this can make points from previous years worthless. You could have had a season ticket for all three previous qualifying years as well as points from many away matches taking you well over 1k points but not had one this year for whatever reason (work etc) and you get absolutely no priority at all.

Why not just have it as 230, 460, 710, 980?

No they didn't, this isn't what they asked for.

This comes because of the Bournemouth game.

If this system turns out to be a problem, I wonder if there's a chance that they'll revert to the old system for midweek away games and the likes of Hull, Middlesbrough and Blackburn and then use the points system for games like Birmingham and future cup games?

That way, the system is ready to go, people will still be encouraged to collect points but steps any unnecessary faff?

People wanted a system where people weren't given special allocations because they are in a special little twat gang and that is still going on
pretty much this, if had to pile on to ticketmaster at 9am it was only fair that the tory cunts did as well

I have 960 points my mate has 0 points and has his first ST and yet he has the same priority window as me. I've gone from Phase 1 last season to phase 4 this season and i missed 1 game home or away all season.

But but , fair🙄

Don’t get this tit for tat nonsense.

Give them 6k and say thank you for the money and the 3 points. Sunderland’s travelling support, whilst impressive in size, is pitiful in terms of noise. It would make very little difference if they had 1.5k or 6k.

This is a fair point. They were shite away at St Andrews, don't actually think they sung a single song aside from those about Jimmy and a box.

Even worse at the Ricoh that time.

Sort of feel like we’re floating towards the notion that despite having more ST holders, we don’t have enough of that sort of fan base required to introduce this sort of system.

Stop whinging, I've had a season ticket for 27 years in a row, not including Northampton or St Andrews. Done 10-15 away games a season through that time, and I can't even get close to tickets for this as I didn't purchase a season ticket through covid.

For me, if you are a season ticket holder you have demonstrated your loyalty to the club financially , and therefore should get first dibs on any ticket that isn't a home league game.

The ticketing system is ran by Ticketmaster, they deal with high demand gigs all the time with a queuing system, so can't see why it can't be used in these instances. If you are a season ticket holder deperate to go you would be competing with other ST holders but you would then ensure you are in the queuing system as soon as possible.

What did they want then ? 100s of different ideas from fans, what are they supposed to do.
Fans that only do away games,(the ones that put no money into the club) think they should be first.
Season ticket holders think they should be first, because they feel they financially support the club.
So which is it ?

People from Warwickshire shouldn't be allowed home or away
