it seems when you can sell 20,000 + season tickets the club think that you don't need to appeal to the next generation as much with lost leaders and great offers. the mascot packages also reflect that... charging a lot more for what is a lot less than last season (even when accounting for the home kit inc with the package).
even the offers they do have for JSB are pretty poor: 1/2 price name on shirt? the letters don't even last the season anyway and so look rubbish when they start peeling off.
But it's not just JSB/Mascots, this mindset is also on the normal ticket prices. the exec boxes, all areas of the club. Cat A for Norwich? We could have shifted more of those home tickets in the corner of the north stand with more realistic pricing. And whilst the early KO from sky reduced the Norwich contingent significantly I also think the ticket price might have put a few off too: £37 for adults and £25 for under 18's is surely way too much.
although perhaps the club are right with this mindset. bringing in more coin allows for more wriggle room for financial fair play and ultimately, if there are funds to invest, better transfers, a better squad. if we do achieve the prem then we can surely expect more of the same. but it seems like to be even in with a chance of getting to the top division/ being in the top division you need to also sell a bit of the clubs soul.
