Can’t see anything other than a comfortable win at Blunderland. We’ve got a cracking first 11 and squad now

Tyler is always scoring
The Nottinghamshire beast
From League 2, to the Prem
To play in white and blue
Scoring more this season
His career’s back on track
And when he gets the winner
We're gonna sing and dance

He will score goals
Tyler will score more and more
He will score goals
He will score them all
He will score goals
Tyler will score more and more
He will score goals
He will score them all

Walker's on fire
Your defence is terrified
Said Walker's on fire
Your defence is terrified
Walker's on fire
Your defence is terrified
Walker's on fire

Just back and had an enjoyable trip down to a crappy stadium held up with layers of paint and glue.
TBF we were far and away a better side without really getting out of first gear. However we had our moments at the back and a great save from Wilson at one point. Other than that we dominated and passed the ball around without posing too much threat. Gyokeres scored what has become a signature goal for him, cutting in from the left and smashing one. Seemed so simple. Panzo is very good and will stake his claim from the get go. Gives real balance. The back line never missed a clearance header. The young Doyle lad looks very comfortable and what a unit he is. Allen good, Sheaf good,Hamer good, O'Hare as industrial as ever, Godden not his day but plenty of effort, Walker looked sharp. (shame about the pen) Bidwell solid and great left foot crosses. Dabo good, maybe just Eccles off the pace and did'nt look comfortable. Always quickly winning the ball back, feeding the lines in behind and even Wilson looked good in the sticks. Looks like a confident squad getting up to speed. No Palmer which was disappointing.

Step it up when the real action begins and we should have a good season.

I do feel though we haven't really been tested pre season. All our opponents have been a bit pedestrian?

If day about 250+ fans making some noise Attendance 5700. Chaps next to me said how we were technically much better and passed the ball in one twos and the quality was higher. One said it was a top 6 championship side they were playing.
That’s it, night folks.

This is why you shouldn't take pre season results too literally. Ironically our best starts have usually come after a poor set of pre-season results! These games just cannot match the intensity and passion of the real thing, but are obviously useful for bedding in new players and combinations. Obviously there is no harm in having a good winning run and the associated confidence that must bring, but next week starts to provide the real acid test of how well prepared we are.

We had a pretty terrible pre-season last season did we not?

Just saw Palmer was injured yesterday? I thought he was just left out because of the quick succession of games and getting him up to speed.
