Adaramola and Dabo start I reckon. Panzo, Hyam and Fadz in the middle. Eccles provides cover from the bench for Dabo as well as centre mid. And Bidwell to provide cover for Panzo and Adaramola.

And not forgetting Doyle who is also a left sided CB. Think we’ll be needing all of them at one point or another given the amount of games before the World Cup.

Two positions. LCB & LWB.

Bidwell can play both.

Panzo seems first choice at LCB based on pre-season.

Where does that leave Adaramola and Bidwell. Surely they should both be starters? They'll both be fighting for one position.

With our budget, and the amount Bidwell will be on, surely it doesn't fit?
Yeah tbf we only need 11 players for 46 games

Sounds like a done deal and he looks an interesting prospect. My concern is more, if he gets injured, is Bidwell the man to step up? I see Bidwell more as a central defender. And a bench player at that. Nothing really against him, but I want us to be aiming for play offs, minimum. And he strikes me as a good Championship player you use if you are aiming mid-table.

What happened when he played in successive Swansea play off teams then and got double figures for assists playing as a wing back?

I think Bidwell will be fine. He has the physique (a bit like David Burrows) of a player who needs regular game time. I also think he has a bit of the mean don't mess with me vibe that you need in a team. We have had a tendency to be a bit 'nice' in the past.

Think bidwell will start and prob deserves too considering he's completed pre season with us.

Let's get these loans over line tho asap so they can get some training sessions in

Robins was also talking of a discussion with the board about a second incoming newbie which suggests to me a player a bit more expensive wage wise, i know it’s only paper talk but it sounded to me he was confident of a thumbs up for that, interesting.

…tbf, if we go on past Championship performances Waghorn should be our best striker. Hope he has a really good season but the proven Championship route hasn’t exactly been a success so far!
My point was he clearly can, and has, played that position with success. Some fans just make their mind up and thats it. Take sheaf as an example, moore another.

We defintely need both and they'll both get game time. With extra subs we'll be swapping wing backs often I reckon to keep up the pace and intensity. It's probably the most physically demanding position.

I agree Bidwell has a place in our team. Just not sure how many starts he'll get once the young loan players are up to speed. I don't doubt his abilities, but would prefer him with a central role, possibly as a long term replacement for Fadz. But for now, Fadz seems to be more than capable of holding down a starting role.

I think the plan is to have two equal but different wingbacks on each side. Both for tactical changes, but also to allow frequent swapping with us having five subs this season. It’s probably the most physically demanding role on the pitch.

We know the budget is tight, certainly until one or maybe two go out. So bringing anyone in that takes us over budget, even temporarily would have to be discussed and rattified regardless of their wage.

It is odd why you think a 18 year old with zero league starts would be ahead of Bidwell in the squad

Depends what we told Palace we’d do

Rotation, minutes off bench, cover for injury, competing with an experienced pro. They would probably be happy with that. Part of going on loan is experiencing and coping with a different environment. Thats why clubs rarely loan players back the following season. Going to another team broadens the players experience.

See what you are saying but we had agreed a deal with JCS which as we know didn’t happen although we have snapped up a couple of loans since id think most of the JCS wage will still be available.

Adaramola seems a strange signing . 18 with no league experience at any level. Must be very highly thought of. Surely Palace would only send him here for games.

He would most likely be spending his time at
Palace with the under 23’s he would be much better off here around the first team, Bidwell will be starting he is a good steady player.
