Saw highlights of their match vs Accrington on Youtube and they looked very dangerous despite the defeat.

Closer it gets, the the more excited I become.

It’s a tough first game, but for me it’s only because we’re away to a newly promoted team with a good fan base. If we were at home I genuinely wouldn’t be worried at all.

We’re a stronger team, we’ve improved our squad and we know how hard the step up is.

If we score early, or even just thwart them, within the first 20/30 I can see the home advantage becoming the opposite.

Would have loved to go, but my away days this year are going to be limited with two young kids.

Looking forward to finding a local pub with an atmosphere to watch it and get back to getting way too invested in 22 players kicking a ball around a field!

1-3, COH, Gyokeres, Panzo.

I think we score early and end up convincing winners. I watched a couple of Sunderlands pre season game highlights and boy they were dreadful. They would have a complete about face to be anywhere near ready for this. I guess 40k fans might spur you on but I doubt it tbh.
I'd still be happy with a draw but expecting a good win....

1-0 win for the sky blues.
A tight game, and I think we should play 1 upfront and bring Sheaf into midfield to give us the extra body in there.
Godden to come off the bench in the second half if required.

Hyam - Fadz - Panzo
Dabo - Hamer - Sheaf - Bidwell
O’hare
Godden - Gyökeres

bench : Wilson, Rose, Adaramola, Eccles, Palmer, Waghorn, Tavares

Gonna be a great game of football, 3-0 City victory, Godden to score the first before the 30 minute mark. Gyökeres to Score around the 55th minute and Panzo to score a last minute header sending City fans mental, capped off with being top of the league by GD.

yep, that would be the lineup i would go with and the bench looks good too although i believe it will be 2-1 to us, O’hare,Gyökeres.

A few on here have by the looks of it

I've been on there for about 3 years, also on Blues forum (although that was for something specific) Think I will leave the Sunderland forum alone tbh, as I was initially curious about their views, a lot reasonable then the shouty minority usually drown them out (sound familiar?!). I suspect the shouty few will increase now we are in the same league again.

Big crowd and they will be up for it with a good manager. I would take a draw but just want to see us attack each game with no fear.

Tbf we were awful last pre-season look how that turned out. Pre-season really does mean little.
Alex Neil has them on a good unbeaten run in a competitive setting.

Not as confident if ohare is out , not saying we are a one man team, I'm saying it's a big loss
