We lose so much creativity, shape, intensity & everything without O'Hare - he's absolutely critical to the way we play.

Our use of the ball has been unusually poor. Eccles, Allen & Hamer have been really disappointing. Feel a bit for Eccles though, stands out like a sore thumb that he's out of position.
Always said O'hare dictates our pace! Some folks struggle to see it but it's true. And agree on our use of the ball. Worse I have seen for a long time. Credit to Sunderland for how they are set up but they can only play what's in front of them and today we aren't great.

Palmer for Allen, Dabo for Eccles at HT and we win it. Same XI, sneak a draw. Big 15 mins for Robins.

We're playing a system that needs dynamics wing backs and we've got Bidwell and Eccles playing there.

I think Eccles is gonna be class for us but all this stuff from MR saying his future could be rwb, no, stop it. He's a cm. We've got dabo, kane or Burroughs who could play there over Eccles.

Allen has always let games like this pass him by, I've not noticed him once.

Poor so far but one shite gk error aside we're still in this.

Moore poor
Back line ok but getting pressed in. Panzo not quite in sync but what a shot.

Wing backs not much use. Dabo needs to come on. Bidwell - never been a fan and still not.

Allen - league1 player. Hamer silly booking. Sheaf - no zip in him.

Gyok is our only threat. Godden is trying.

Poor half. Yes, we are missing O'Hare, but some of those performances, and the sloppiness of our passing has nothing to do with O'Hare.

Panzo pick of the bunch, great strike but even he in the last 5 mins has given the ball away with sloppy passes.

Why are we playing Eccles out of position when we have Kane on the books?

Eccles, Allen, Hamer, Bidwell, Moore, and Gyokeres have been particularly bad. The rest have been so so.

In a way this is a story of last season, concede a sloppy goal first then come back.

shit all round, gyokeres looking guilty of dwelling on the ball that bit too long again like he was for periods last season

Sunderland are playing how we did last season, quick passing in the middle to open the opposition up. It's just that Allen and Eccles are big downgrades on O'Hare and Dabo.

Pretty disappointing but the opposition don't look dynamite and the atmosphere is hardly the cauldron of noise being built up. There for the taking but it's a familiar tale from last season so far.

The more I watch their goal the worse it gets. Comically bad from Moore. What is he thinking? I would love a goalie who doesn’t flap on every aerial ball - feels like decades since we’ve had one.

Same issues as last season - if our wing backs arent on form or just not enough, it impacts us massively. I called it pre game and I’m sure others did too.

Eccles is a good footballer but he isn’t going to get us up the pitch, same with Allen. No idea how Bidwell has a career at wing back.

If Dabo isn’t injured he needs to come on. If he he, then I’m pretty annoyed really, as he’s turning into a massive sick note.

We’ve got back into it last 20, and I think Sunderland will have a strong 10 mins then they’ll tire again.

Unfortunately it’s classic Hamer, gets booked and is anonymous and/or can’t pick a pass. It doesn’t always need to be a Hollywood ball.

Wouldn’t panic yet, but would like to see Taveres. Their defence looks slow.

Confident we’ll score, and possibly even clinch it.

We should get off Eccles back
He's having a hard time but not hiding
Hopefully he'll settle down 2nd half
He's had a stinker. Pushed out of the way for the goal, missing 5 yard passes, not giving anything going forward.

This isn't under-8s football, you don't get your hand held and a 'better luck next time' badge.

Poor first half. Godden and Sheaf working hard, Panzo has a lot of potentially but can’t seem to find Bidwell with a pass.
