Overseas at the minute so info is sketchy. Anything been said on local news, CWR ?
I’m guessing they will have an “exclusive” on the drive time show or tomorrows breakfast where they will report what’s in the Times article and middle through some of the speculation on here.

Didn’t SBB or Better Days say there was no money being spent this summer but there would be in January. Could this possibly be why?

Of course I could have just imagined that but sure I read one of them saying that.
I think it was said money would only be spent in January if we sell one or more of Hamer, O’hare, Vik.

I remember @Skybluebeliever saying something back around last Christmas time that the new year could be an interesting time if one or two things transpire. It seems nothing did but gave me the impression it was relating to off field matters.

Maybe Tim point about selling the club at its highest value point is now upon us. Story has came from somewhere and may have legs. I know what the fans want will not come into a decision about a sale, but i do think they have took us as far as they can.

It may have also have a lot to do with Wasps situation, sisu could be trying to jump before they get lumbered with new people demanding something new which could create another problem at the stadium. The more u look the more it makes sense especially if a new owner could deal and take the lease off Wasps.

It maybe wishful thinking but i think something is about to drop and Joy will be out at some point, in fact think it was mentioned couple of weeks ago. Could be connected.
Like 15 years ago, via Northampton and Birmingham? I hope we find new owners. The caveat being that they know how to run a club. This next bit hurts: SISU did a better job in the last 4 years or so.

Two or three years ago, I wrote to Jim Ratcliffe of Ineos to ask if he would be interested in buying CCFC. He already owns a football club in Switzerland and reports at that time was he wanted an interest in an English team. As you might expect, I had no reply and recently he lost out for Chelsea. I think we are too small fry for a really wealthy fool and his money.

This is the most adorable thing I’ve ever heard. Have you tried anyone else?

I don't think there's any doubt SISU would sell if the price is right, and I also don't doubt that Wasps are in a pretty tight spot that might end up with them having to sell the stadium lease. There's also not much dispute about the council and SISU not trusting each other.

So I guess there's some logic to this, but a potential purchaser of CCFC has an awful lot of dots to join up in order to get both the club and the stadium. Interesting times though...

Clowes secured Pride Park first, he then held all the cards. I imagine, if this happens at all, that would be the way forward.
True in that instance ie with an administrator involved, but you can imagine if someone bought CBS arena first, that SISU would then try and screw them over for way more than the club was worth, knowing that they had a white elephant on their hands without a club to play in it.

I’d take Mike Ashley, not as bad as Newcastle fans made out, a few Sports direct stickers round the stadium and he invests more money than we have in recent times. For a club like us it would be good as we never really had big investment, and he will keep the club stable

Had a look on that Wasps site to see if there was any reaction to this. They really have no grasp of the basic facts do they. They're all patting themselves on the back for brilliant posts and how much better they are than here while stating absolute rubbish as fact.

Fair enough we've got more than our fair share of idiots on here but we tend to not all stand round applauding how brilliant they are.

you'd have a binding agreement in place before you pulled the trigger on a stadium deal I'm guessing

Sisu have nothing to actually sell. The club has no value other than the players. It’s a stir the pot story

Agree, Sisu looking to twist the knife.
