It showed today how much we missed O’Hares work & endeavour don’t care how much money we get replacing that is very hard & to sell to a competitor would be madness.
11 teams, all above us in the table, managed ok without him last season…. ;)

I know . That's why I thought it strange that anyone would think CO'H injury was a cunning SISU plan

I am an admirer of O'Hare and he has the potential to improve further. He brings a lot to the team.

I do think Burnley's interest has brought a bit of hysteria to our fans though? Good players will attract interest get used to it.

For all his qualities he still lacks composure in the box and his shooting and assists need to improve. Another fault is he tends to turn with the ball away from his support players and run into opposition traffic.

Yes when he is out we will miss him. But he hardly missed a game last season and I think we won about 16 and lost about 17.

I really hope we hang onto him as I think he will only get better. But if he is out injured for a few games it might force us to develop as a team rather than just rely on the same way of playing all the time.

I hope for his sake it is a fairly minor injury. I dont think he is the sort who wants to be sat on the sidelines.

He will be gone for minimum of 8 weeks, its a bad one and will need time to get back up to speed. We will have to go without or find a solution within the group or bring in a short term loan in.

Problem is we will have to lose a couple off the wage bill to get player or players in. I said it before the quicker we got rid of the fringe players the better chance we had of keeping and adding to our better players.

Kane, Waghorn and Hilsner have turned out to be expensive mistakes and we now are left with 3 players on decent contracts sitting at home without complaint every game day. MR will have to pull something out of the hat to fill COH position. Allen is not or will ever be the answer switching formation is our only other option if incomings are not available to us. Terrible news, terrible timing and hope he returns strong to help us push on.

I heard its a bad one and as of yesterday too still not able to get his scan. 10 weeks out at least, such a shame we now need to find a solution which could just come in a change of formation with what we have.

That's ok as long as addressed by end of the window. Think we can get by a few weeks. Certainly hope plan B doesn't involve selling one of our other better players though as that could cause issues.
Can't really see any of them being wanted tbh. Certainly will be stuck with the majority of those wages

From a fan perspective I'm pleased. Gives us the best chance of a successful season. Palmer will get his chance but need to make sure we have cover over and above Jamie Allen, who in my eyes is better as a central midfielder. Not creative enough to replace O'Hare.

A chance for someone to step up. Palmer, Tavares, Eccles, Bapaga, Rus, Burroughs, whoever - any of them could grab a load of minutes in some role or other (e.g. Hamer pushed fwd, Eccles fills in).

Let's hope one or more than one take that chance. Bristol team could be interesting. I'll be really disappointed if none of them do enough in training, sub appearances or a Bristol starting spot to force their way in.

Same for Walker and Waghorn as it goes if 433 is a regular option at some point in games. A guaranteed starting spot has opened up. If no one at least tries and busts a gut to take advantage, that'll be a let down.

The life of a footballer
One minute you have the world at your feet then a big injury comes out of nowhere
Terrible for the lad and the club on so many levels
It's going to be a hard time for him & he'll need a lot of support

We need to get some players out asap and get a short term loan in

we’ve got a new rwb for the 23’s

get these players out (Kane, waghorn) and get a short term cam in

It's all a bit over the top really. Nearly all athletes get an injury at sometime in their career, hamstring injuries are very common as we all know, and nowhere near as bad as cruciate ligament injuries. It's bad timing as far as a sale is concerned, but we didn't want him to leave anyway.

Not too clever for the club either
Had he gone we'd have received a big fee and not had to continue paying the wages which would have given us decent options
Which I completely understand, but it pretty hard having empathy for multi million pound businesses and millionaires. I'm sure he'll be ok.
