The point of following the team is to play in Coventry something we seem to manage for a couple of years then mone again

I don’t really believe the rumour tbh it’s £50 grand a game there and I don’t see wasps forking out without a fight
It's just pressure pressure pressure isn't it?

I suspect the brass at CCFC knew there might be issues but have something in writing from Wasps telling them that it would be all good.

Then for them it's a win/win. We either get to play the game as planned and if not Wasps have lied to us and broken the lease so they can take action.

We probably could have rearranged the games with notice but if the landlords say it's not needed then it's their fault if it wasn't arranged.

Shit for supporters but they've basically allowed Wasps to tie themselves up in knots.

This is what I'm thinking too. We play and everyone is happy, or Wasps have broken an agreement to ensure the pitch is in working condition.

Concerns were already raised in this exact thread on Friday 29th July, so surely you'd think the club were also keeping an eye on the issue, even if they weren't directly allowed into the ground to inspect?

How many games are left?

I wont be going if it is

They already have my money from myself and the kids ST's, but I'm not making that journey again

Utter shithole of a stadium, area, people etc

I wouldn't ask for any money back as its not the clubs fault but I'm not doing that again, sorry

Likewise. Midweek matches when the kids have school makes Birmingham a bit too far. Plus train tickets if we don't want to drive, plus the journey from the ground to the station and vica versa makes it too expensive. I'd reluctantly have to give them a miss

A bold post from the one time commentator, but I can't see it working out well for him Gary.

🤣

On reflection, I still stand by us knowing about the games but the revelation by Wapss that they gave exclusivity to the CWG's should surely have come up during the time of negotiating our return?

I'm now on a one man mission to get a reply from Andy street on Twitter since he was so keen on telling every one how much he spearheaded our return talks / mediation, and was undoubtedly involved in being the games to Birmingham too so must surely have known of that clause? Was it held back from us? Have Wasps set themselves up in their Initial and hasty comment given on the back of ours?

I may have stuck up for them a little initially but not now!

You are spot on with this and would think he has to get to involved

I really hope that whatever happens we don't get forced to play on a Sunday. The main reason I was able to get a season ticket this year is because my son changed his shifts at work from a Saturday to a Sunday to enable us to go.

It's be very annoying if we now have to miss some because of this farce

While he's looking into their bailout?

Was thinking this earlier...almost like its a conflict of interests.

But then Wasps know all about that, such as when the Henley in Arden College site was sold by WCG to Wasps. A certain N Eastwood was a Governor at the College, and would you believe it a Director at Wasps.

OK so what would your solution be? (Other than Boddy did it on purpose).

it always happens to this club and these owners though doesn’t it and there is always a reason

If the Cov Tel / CWR were pro active they would try to find Groundsmen / Pitch companies to get their feedback on the pitch. Would make a decent article.
It's not like the CCFC groundsman isn't active on Twitter to just go "Yeah it's fucked lads". Too easy for the Telegraph that.

Edited to add. I imagine Boddy has told him not to utter a word to anyone :D

So what's the solution other than play a few games elsewhere while the pitch is fixed? (Best case right now I think).
