Fookin ell, call the cops and check his hard drive! He may live in Coventry but look where he originates from and the school he went to.
got himself a nice little ticket for our play off final though. Glory supporter probably never been to a game since.View attachment 25881View attachment 25882
Was there much publicity around that? If not, perhaps not surprising he didn't get in. Only real anti sleeze one I recall was Martin Bell ousting Neil Hamilton, but there was a big media storm about that.Someone did stand in an anti council approach in my ward once he knocked on my door - must of been a while ago - he didn’t get many votes I don’t think
Originates from Harrow, now resides in Coventry.... of course he likes the Wasps!Fookin ell, call the cops and check his hard drive!

I reckon you should stand G and kick that slime ball out. We'll all help promote a big campaign to get you in
I honestly think the Tories would back an anti wasps stance now. They certainly would stop the public funds going to them.
A bit like all the weird users starting up on here again. We all knew something was afoot when they all appeared again. There's so many of these articles now you have to wonder if some of the journalists have knowledge that the house of cards is going to collapse. Seems a bit of a coincidence that they are all coming out at the same time.
Don’t be surprised if CCC the CWGC, and the RFU step in to save Wasps.
If any council funds are used, there should be an uproar.
Their financial position was shit when they moved.Cant see that happening as there financial position is an open secret. The Bond holders are the folk that hold the key to all this, if they want their money back and wasps cant pay they believe that the Bond trustee can force the sale of the stadium as the Trustee is in effect the owner of the stadium until the bond is repaid I think.
Next time you see Kev can you tell him he's a prick?
You spend hours abusing Pete about speaking to Boddy but are acquainted with this rat.
Im not acquainted with him - I’ve met him once - I’ve met Anne Lucas, I’ve actually met Michael Foot. I didn’t actually suddenly become a full blown member of CND
It'd be very cynical given they supported Wasps coming in now, but probably a good political decision to drive a wedge between the two.I honestly think the Tories would back an anti wasps stance now. They certainly would stop the public funds going to them.
Oh also Roy Hattersley and a current well known labour Mp who laughed at Covid rules and shook everyone’s hand in a meeting and asked does any one really want to where these silly masks
I can’t say I agree with any of them but obviously you treat people with respect on a face to face basis and not act like an uncivilised yob

tbh, the way it's going, it'd be a good political decision for Labour to abandon them,if they could work out a way to make sure it was collective blame for the ballsup.
Who was the older of the two of you at the time?I’ve actually met Michael Foot.
Yeah, it does seem likely tbh. Question is if the Labour group stay together, or what happens if one or two of them wobble as well.Of course it is cynical but I get those vibes. Ridley has campaigned on some local issues and I’m pretty certain would be anti wasps
Which one would you tell to their face to crawl up someone's rectum?
I remember him shaking everyone's hand on the terrace at Cardiff. My mate (dragged along by me) responded with 'who the fuck are you?!?' at which Robinson merely went thank you, thank you and moved onto the next handshake!I wouldn’t and that’s the point isn’t it. Same as Corbyn wouldn’t have disrespected the monarch if he’d made it as PM - i did have a pop at robinson once as he was sliming around trying to pretend he cared about the football team.

Yeah one issue candidates are a little annoying locally. Better to win the support of already elected members to do the right thing
I appreciate it's an unfortunate comparison, but I always think he looks like Jonathan King!
He is in a safe Labour ward
Maton on twitter now comparing Wasp to BP and Amazon because of their tax inavasion and its what all big companies do, seriously this guy is Lord Mayor and an elected Councillor ffs. Guy us an absolute fucking tool being polite!
Looks like a financial death spiral OSBIf so it's a totally spurious comparison in the first place. BP Amazon etc use perfectly legal but morally poor methods to minimise uk corporation tax on profits. They then pay based on that, as far as we know on time.
Wasps do not pay corporation tax because of the losses they make mean none is due. What hmrc will be chasing is paye - tax on employees wages, due monthly and non payment could affect an employees contribution record - and VAT that is a tax on day to day transactions. Its not about clever tax schemes but simple non payment of a legal debt.
As to whether wasps should get a grant to bail them out - no absolutely not. What makes them so special when other "good" companies have been allowed to go to the wall. Could they get a grant for a specific capital project yes but only if it is clearly defined and monitored so it doesn't bail out the bond or losses or day to day trading. Good luck proving its a good idea or risk though
Maybe we could help them forget ?Looks like a financial death spiral OSB
Tbh if it does happen our owners need to be magnanimous
And the council will need to forget past acrimony
Easier said than done unfortunately

Well arguedIn this instance I completely disagree. The Council members from both major parties form a cozy club and seem in it together in regards of their support of Wasps. If there are elected members prepared to do the right thing then fine leave them alone, but this is about Maton who has clearly nailed his colours to the mast. He is in a safe Labour ward and he will only get beat if a single issue candidate muddies the water. It doesn't mean the anti Maton candidate would win the seat neccesarily, but it could mean someone other than Maton does. With it just being one seat Labour would undoubtedly still control the Council, but there would be a clear message to councillors that they cannot ride roughshod over the interests of CCFC, without consequences to them and their cozy existence.
In fact the paye and nic is literally money they’ve taken from employees to pay over to hmrcIf so it's a totally spurious comparison in the first place. BP Amazon etc use perfectly legal but morally poor methods to minimise uk corporation tax on profits. They then pay based on that, as far as we know on time.
