Very dissapointed with that post match interview.its just proved he's not the man for us..we need a di canio..players scared to under perform..not a softy MATE of the players.

He said this (however, i am half expecting this to get deleted)

we had enought chances to win the game

players need to concentrate a wee bit more

at this level you need to be a solid back 4

we changed it round at HT and we took it to Crewe which pleased me

we are a quiet bunch

the boys are working really hard

they looked jaded 1st half, tuesday took its toll at the end of today

the end result was a win for crewe

How about 'the aftermatch thread' as opposed to the 'match day thread' and we can all vent in there instead of this constant chasing around the various post?

Thats strange after Tuesday everyone was saying how impressed with him they were when he was on the radio after the game

Not that anyone's fickle or anything

It must be a motivational thing for these players.... it's time for a real leader in charge at Coventry.

Sometimes great tactics aren't important but getting the best performance out of players on a matchday.

It did make me smile the amount of fans saying shaw was the man for the job after Tuesday night! We need somone who has had experience and pick the players up out of this mess

Exactly my thinking.

Absolutely ridiculous. The hypocrisy/fickleness is embarrassing.

“We are disappointed with the result, obviously. We weren’t at our best today and it is a shame to play like that in front of a large away support.” said Shaw.

“It was a really, really poor goal to concede. When you have periods where teams have a lot of the football you have to be stronger.

“We talked about concentration in the week but a couple of people have dived in and not tackled and we are disappointed with the defending for the goal.”

Coventry face Burton Albion on Tuesday at Ricoh Arena in the Johnstone Paint Trophy giving Shaw’s side little time to recover.

Shaw added: “We changed a lot at half-time, changed the formation, had more width and we had a go at them. Some balls were flashed across the edge, Cody (McDonald) hit the bar and we felt we had enough chances to win the game in the second half.

“Crewe is a hard place to come and get a result. They have a tremendous record at home, good young players just like Ashley Westwood, who moved to Aston Villa recently for £1million.

“They are a good side and they will give anyone a match at home we are just disappointed with our performance.”

The positive out of today is for certain Shaw won't get the job. Useless, can't even see where we're going wrong and make changes.

I've said many times that I don't mind the management making mistakes, it's the same mistakes week after week that annoy me, showing they are either too stubborn or too stupid to learn from the past errors.
