Who knows

One thing though I hope our fixed costs are tied down and set in concrete as the financial shit storm coming over the next year may turn out to be to hot for them and definitely needing an out .
And if the forecasts are anywhere near accurate many, many of us will be struggling to attend.

Godden certainly seems to love the club, fans, MR etc. Good on him. I love vik but he's skulked around 2.5 games now looking like he doesn't wanna be there. He's stuck here now til Jan and if he wants that move, do it on the fucking pitch
To be fair, Gyokeres never looks particularly pleased on the pitch.

For me the ST wouldn't be where I'd be looking to cut costs. Following the team away from home (on a regular basis) may become more of a stretch for some/ a lot though.

Hyams transfer fee will pay less than a months wages - the cancelled fixtures have lost a million cash. We will easily lose £5m this year.

Unless the TV money is paid at the start of the season (don’t know) we will need to have short term loans or the numbers don’t work and they also cost money.

If they are no enquiries in the final two weeks for players not a lot can be done even on a cheaper sale

By the way, Blackburn conceded 3 with Hyam in the back 4 yesterday.
Whilst I’d have preferred we kept him because he’s better than the others, the out cry from him going was a bit of a stretch.
Something defo happened for them both to be on the bench. If Godden called Vik out for sulking then fair play it’s what you want from a senior player.

Just surprised Godden was benched for it

No inside info but Viks agent probably got in his ear despite there being no contract offers. Viks performance wasn't at the level against Preston so Robins dropped him. Maybe or maybe not a few words between players/management but it can happen around the transfer window. Glad its now all over as the players can now just concentrate on the football. Going to be a battle from here on in but a bit of unsettlement behind the scenes during a transfer window is not out of the ordinary

ITK as an acronym annoys me.
And I’ll say it, all the ITK’s annoy me. Fuck off basically.

Tide is turning at the club, tide is turning with patience for the players. And the tide, for me at least, has turned with these ITK lot.

And the negative lot as well. I’d quite happily sit with my dad knowing fuck all as he doesn’t go on ‘the internet’ and just be annoyed at the results.
Someone told me you felt like this…. ;)

The lunacy is spreading. We would do well to get a total of 18mill for all the big 3, and Dom Hyam on top. Think there is something in him being upset or acting up, but let's not embellish the story with absolute nonsense.

If anyone thinks we've turned down an £18m offer for Vik I'd suggest making yourself an appointment at the doctors tomorrow.

What is the point of sulking if he wants to leave? Best chance of leaving is banging in a load of goals before the window opens again.

The real problem will be if someone like Hamer wants to run down his £18k a week contract

SBB has got what wrong?
Didn't he imply that there was going to be another big sale before the transfer window? Not to say that it didn't nearly happen in reality, of course. Maybe I'm wrong and it was other "the shit's really about to hit the fan" allusions.

As for the "voicenote", that reminds me of Clubcall.

Godden and Vik were poor against Preston. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if Robins just went leftfield and gave Walker a game and then someone has seen the team sheet and made up some shit that has grown arms and legs.

I just don't understand Walker? Based on the games so far, he's literally 5th choice and to play him alone was baffling.

The two starting 11s this week don't make sense. He tried explaining on Wednesday that he chose the team based on playing Norwich on Saturday. We have hardly played a match all month. Are we really at the stage where he's having to mix things up due to players being tired?

What's a "voice note" ? I know email and voicemail but a voice note is new to me.

But I think the situation needs rectifying and quickly. We, ourselves, can do something about that. Social Media is a dangerous echo chamber and anything anyone types on here, Twitter, FB or Insta can and often does get exaggerated beyond stupidity levels. See how quickly Greggs' jokes have gone full circle via Social Media so that we're commenting on a joke that originated here.

And it wouldn't be hard to believe that the Club and players will see and hear about these "rumours". If the players have half the emotional fragility of some of the FB and Twitter users, I'm surprised that there haven't been all-out brawls at Ryton.

Perhaps we should all pull back on the rumours and comments (even those posted in jest) for a few weeks and let the dust settle. Support the team and the manager and hope/pray we can get back on an even keel.

Didn’t that only not happen because Kane needed an operation?

will he play again?

According to Robins the operation would have no impact on our ability to move him on and he’s in the first team squad “until I am told otherwise”. So why is he still here?

That’s a blast from the past, I got the wooden spoon treatment for calling that up daily for a few weeks.

So…..we didn’t move him on then?

You can’t sack someone - you can only move them out the squad - and also sell someone when injured is rather difficult

I guess we’ll see if he plays for us this season then - he seems to have been training recently so he was certainly not injured when the window closed.

Anyway, here’s another one that turned out completely wrong:

I think we will be looking to free up wages to enable MR to bring in potential better players and perhaps 5/6 spending the same in wages
Look at Waghorn, Walker ,Kelly and perhaps one other on high wages not in the first 11 , this could free up 40k a week

It’s not wrong is it? I’m sure we were looking to get rid of those players to free up wages to bring in replacements. Can’t blame the ITKs that no one was interested in them

If I make a prediction and it doesn’t happen, then I’m wrong.

I’m not blaming anyone but someone asked the question and I’m answering it.

I suspect this is the case. By default that also means we probably have four or five players in the squad who are here and didn't really want to be.

No way down there ends well.

The proof that we weren't trying to move Kane on is the manager literally saying we were trying to move him on?

Kelly injured, waghorn and Walker again no interest in and your Kane link proved SBB right anyway?

He said I think that’s the intention - how’s that wrong
