Unbeaten in the last 2 games

Cal O'Hare back in training, saying 'back soon' to the camera

Vik not selected in the starting line up for Sweden tonight (fresher, and less chance of injury before the M'Boro game)

Callum Doyle rested for the England U20s team this afternoon.

Let the season commence.......

Fuming at Hamer, we really could’ve built some momentum
Odd take on a positive thread and tbh I still think their guy was clever and holding him down, his actions was trying to free himself, it doesn't look good as he kicks out in doing so and wouldn't win an appeal, but in that instance, despite his disciplinary record, I think he was unlucky.

Meh, not sure I see it as being particularly negative - it's more a "what could have been". Imagine if we had O Hare back with Hamer and then 8 out of 10 games at home. Full strength starting 11 would be fantastic

Ohare back on training but I doubt we'll see him for a few games and then has to get to match speed. In fact by the time he's ready I suspect Hamer will be back from suspension.

Was hoping he might be back for the Cardiff game Rob (based on absolutely nothing at all !)

i love your positive thinking, but we've still got the worst keeper, defence and wingbacks in the league. And yeah, Hamer is a liability.

Without checking I think it’s 8 home games out of the next 10, so let’s make the CBS a bit of a fortress.
I make it 8 out of the next 12 at home. Even so, and taking into account our mediocre home record, should be enough to see us climb out of the bottom 3. We do play Burnley, Sheff U, and Watford in that run though.

Got to get a decent home record going we won’t win all 8 but 5 and some points away should give us the boost we need and with the prospect of O’Hare, Hamer Rose and Kelly coming back soon our squad looks better, going to be set backs obviously but I’m hoping by the World Cup break we will be in a much better position.

Yes the bedwetters wont like this, as we are doomed for relegation. We have only got 45 points from last 45 games etc etc. Lol.

But yes i agree time to rack up the games/ points and finally some momentum.

Can see us picking up on average 1.5 points a game going forward before world cup break.

Be good to see the usual doom and gloom merchants backtracking and squirming as usual and going very quiet.

Hopefully the lads have seen the news that Jackman will be playing wolverine again. Should be enough to get us into the playoffs.

As Robin's said. LIFT off.

5 points from last 3 games. Including back to back clean sheets.

In fact not conceded a goal since first half vs Luton when Rose went off injured.

The important thing is being undefeated in the last three which breeds confidence.

The defence has looked pretty solid in the last 3 since Rose got Injured and Doyle has looked very good so far.

Stopping the Ridiculous howlers has helped. Without which we would out of the bottom 6 with games in hand.

Well yes. Id say not winning in 7 games, with 4 defeats in that is dog shit wouldn't you?
The facts dont lie in terms of the results. I think the poster was suggesting we could have got more points if it had not been for the goals we gave away from individual rather than collective errors.

And if my uncle had tits would he be my auntie?

Doesn't matter how we got there, the facts are we didn't win any of our opening 7 games, losing 4 of them. That's a horrendous start surely?

Works the other way, if we played turgid football but ground out 1-0 wins every week, doesn't matter how we played, we get the 3 points no?

I agree with you. It's a horrendously poor start, lest few games aside. I was highlighting that I felt the poster (Slowpoke) was referring to the fact that we had not played terribly and if it was not for some very obvious individual errors our perception of our start could have been different. Bottom line yes on paper it's been poor but we have played better than our league position suggests.

Save for a couple of Moore howlers and Hamer getting sent off we would be mid table with games in hand

I mean, no one has loved our start to the season to be fair. Some just have some more optimism for things getting better, than others do. Whether that's blind optimism remains to be seen.

There are some though who do seem to happiest when things are at their worst for us.

Granted, I'm the flip side of that and post rarely when things are crap. And no, I'm not part of the hindsight brigade (not that you were saying that) - just trying to keep my life (real and online) as positive as I can as there's sooooo much sh!t to deal with in life at the moment.
