It’s like saying you should equal consideration to a flat earther and an astronomer. Why should I give equal consideration to a criminal government sending the economy down the toilet?

As much as I don’t like him there is no doubt in my mind that Starmer would be a more competent PM than his Tory counterparts. That’s the bar, it’s low but he crosses it
Truss and Johnson have done more to convince me to vote for Starmer than Starmer has, and I'm still not totally convinced.
Did you miss a H there at all by any chance, Tony? That’s not true. I’ve admitted I’m open to vote both ways at the next GE. It’s either Lib Dem or Labour. Whoever has the best chance of getting my "sitting" Tory MP out.
He won’t break the law
He can’t possibly cause more economic damage
He opposes fracking
That’ll do. I just want the Tories out
I'll set up a poll. We’re back to the point Emily Matis was making in her resent lecture. If you can find 50 economists who say something is a bad idea and only one who says it’s a good idea to portray the opposing opinions as equal opinions is a false equivalence because it doesn’t reflect how out of kilter the one opinion is from the 50. Okay that example was on a different subject but it isn’t surprising that the one economist anyone can find to say anything good about the mini budget also happens to be the one economist that they could find to say the other thing was a good idea. As it happens.
I heard a lady being interviewed on the radio the other day from a group called something like nannas against fracking.
She was very impressive and took the pro fracking lobbyist apart. I'd love to see her up against Truss, she would absolutely annihilate her.
Ah, but you're a lefty commie striking stinking teacher.I teach how fracking works to GCSE students, including case studies of what’s happened in the USA already. Most were baffled we were even considering it never mind going ahead.
Would fancy their chances of debunking Mogg on the topic
I think with this particular economist it’s more a case of allowing his personal ideology overrule his intellect and schooling on the subjects.I'll set up a poll.
Who's done better for CCFC? Dion Dublin or Craig Bellamy?
I shall then vote for Bellamy myself.
Come the BBC debate about the subject, I will be on the telly, 'for balance'
I suspect this is how it works sometimes. Be contrary, get noticed.
Any other leader would be twenty points ah… oh
Just don’t fuck it from here lads.
SNP official opposition. The heads exploding on the right would rival the NYE fireworks.

I think you’ll find Ian Blackford will be leader of the Opposition. This is weirdly good news for the Tories. They seriously need a good clear out of the moronic, cultist, fundamentals they’ve allowed to take over the parliamentary party, not that the membership is much better. It’s an opportunity to start as a clean slate, reintroduce some intellectuals back into the party. Their biggest issue is going to be finding someone to lead what will be left of the parliamentary party, they’re already down to pound shop Ian D Smith’s and David Davies type. I’m really struggling to think of a single MP serving now let alone after a cull of a GE who you would say has any notable leadership qualities, I mean they’ve just decided Liz Truss is the best they have to offer. They can only be hoping that Sunak or maybe Hunt survive the next GE otherwise Desmond Swayne or Nadine Dorries might end up as leader of the opposition.

How much is Johnson? If this continues there'll be a hell of a good price on the prime minister after the next GE, but the odds don't yet reflect that optimism. Currently only 4/6 Starmer 2/1 Truss best available. Tempted to get cover on Starmer now and think Truss could go 4s or 5s soon and get stuck into that. We've all seen polls get it widely wrong and could be a very profitable free hit.
This seat map seems more realistic but it's still fuck me the tories are the size of the prime era lib dems
also Labour are over 20% ahead on todays survation poll
3rd fav 35/1How much is Johnson?
There's your money, then.3rd fav 35/1
I think I read something earlier saying that survation have confirmed that 80% of the poll was taken last week before the mini budget so not a true reflection of feelings this week.
He'd need a new safer seat for a start I think. There's your money, then.
Must have been a different pollstersurvation fieldwork day was all today a per the data tables
still massive lead for their methodolgy
