Is it me or have the sackings in The Championship been a lot higher than normal at this stage of the season?

Cardiff
Mboro
Stoke
Watford
Huddersfield
Blackburn ?
Birmingham?
Hull

There's probably more, but you can see how twitchy clubs are. Incidentally, MR is over 3 years ahead of his nearest rival, Gary Rowett, in terms of longevity!

Madness, though a very lucrative gravy train if you can get on it.

Yes - my brother says it's the best job in the world for rewarding failure. Steve Bruce has made a fortune out of getting the boot (with probably another pay day to come in the not so distant future).

Watching the game on Robins tv. Commentator said Robins is one of the favourites for the Boro job.

Jim White and Simon Jordan both said on Talksport earlier this morning that they'd heard Mark Robins was getting the job.

I didn't hear this, but picked it up form the Boro forum. Anyone hear it?

it wont be Rob edwards - bookies dont make a certainty at odds where you can buy money in these markets
it wont be steve cooper, unless he is sacked very quickly - he will not walk
so leaves Robins in the mix

It is a tough one
he can have a relatively quiet life with low expectations here, or if he took the middlesbrough job he would be fired within 12 months if they werent near the play offs

he may back himself, but i dont think so

Despite the rocky goings on and being bottom of the league - albeit not through his own doing, I feel Robins is the safest man in the league. He’ll stay.

Anyway, Wilder's had a tremendous record everywhere bar Boro, which whilst maybe a tick in the reason-not-to-take-the-job, is also why he'd be top of my list of Robins did decide he'd fancy a new challenge.

He’s now had issues under Gibson and a Saudi prince, throwing his toys out the pram at the first sight of struggle. I’d love to see him try and work here!

To be fair to Simon, he could still be taking over, he’s just been focusing on more important issues recently such as what the Man United manager looks like:

Anyone who wears that waistcoat with that shirt shouldn't be talking other peoples clobber

Sort of, I could be imagining things but I remember your original posts on this being a little different to 'sell for an 8 figure fee and reinvest'

oops

Can’t remember. I’m sure Grendel is on the case!

Is selling your best player to reinvest in the squad really so bonkers though? Seems like we’re all arguing (twice!) over a relatively innocuous hot take. Feels like I’m a few spreadsheet searches away from having to tell everyone how many languages I speak!

I picture you as one of those weirdos who go to conventions and speak Klingon
