Benn failed a drugs test.

Bit of a disgrace really for all the people who have paid for tickets and the undercards etc.

Gutted as had tickets. Fortunately had refundable hotels and hadnt bought train tickets due to the shambles on the railways at the moment. I always thought there was a risk of it not happening but that was because I thought Eubank might not make weight !

Right call to to cancel/postpone though

Ps frees me up for Burnley game so every cloud (don’t let me down City !)

Same here but we’re not so lucky with the hotel. It’s a complete shit show. Eubank and his team, Benn and his team, VADA and the BBBoC all knew over two weeks ago about the failed test. Only when someone went to the press (we don’t need many guesses at who that was) the board decided they needed to act.

As much as a pain in the arse it is to us, the ones I feel the most for are the undercard. Prepping for a fight and then having the event pulled a couple of days before must be infuriating. What they do in the later stages of a camp isn’t always pleasant and can be detrimental to their health.

Benn will never be taken seriously again now as a fighter. The knock on effect for the previous fighters who he “beat” will open a can of worms.
