Back to last season's standard today.

Can't think of many stadiums in this country where the fans are making that noise when they are clear bottom of the table.

Great effort.

Yeah it was brilliant for a 20 minute spell of the second half.

Burnley fans were awful. I don’t understand these teams who are flying and have piss poor support home and away

Suppose they've lost the joy of it having rattled around the PL for years doing little. Like us in the 90s.

Generally the away support at this level from teams is good in numbers but very few have made a decent noise. Middlesbrough were the same.

In League 1 and 2 clubs used to come for their big day out with 400 and every one of them got behind their team.

I bet they are travelling up the M6 devastated we thought they didn’t sing enough

Results help, but some of my best days out following Coventry are games we’ve lost or drawn. Southampton last season and Mansfield in League Two spring to mind. You’re spending the best part of £100+ in tickets, travel, drink etc, you may as well enjoy yourself regardless of the result.

Sounded good from block 1….. thought the team put a shift in today. Burnley looked delighted to get the win… a draw would have been fair although they did pass it around us a bit

Where was the Bellamy abuse and why were we abusing maatsen, must be racism… nah on a serious note why didnt we abuse that c**t
Yes, don't get what the Maatsen booing was all about. He did a good job for us last season. He was not our player, and doesn't owe us anything. There was no way he would have had another season here on loan, so what has he done wrong? Our fans are embarrassing at times.

Maybe something to do with the fact that Maatsen said in an interview that Burnley were a bigger club than us???

Support was excellent. Love it that the fans don't turn on the team - long may it continue. The energy in the crowd can be the difference between the team sticking together, or players going into their shells. Imagine Doyle and others if they are being slated. Can't help their game. Also, makes younger/newer fans more likely to want to attend if there is a decent atmosphere.

The encouragement for the team when we were 1-0 down 2nd half, was admirable .
Compared to other teams in this league, and apart from the usual few arseholes, as fans we ain’t doing to bad.

From the Burnley forum about our drum/atmosphere.

They created a real genuine atmosphere with that drum.

Just like devils advocate said. Not at all annoying, confected and plastic.

Awesome do we get points at the end of the season for the drum?

No. But personally I much prefer to be at a game where the fans get behind the team rather than sit there in silence.

No one sits in silence and I didn’t even think they were that silent especially in the first half

Don't quite get this? No one is talking about points or performances. They are talking about how our fans are genuinely very supportive and vocal. For a lot of people that's a huge part of the game and the culture.

I've been to matches at the Ricoh, both in League 1/2 and in our previous Championship era where we've won games but the actual matchday experience was rubbish. Similarly Highfield Road was silent for many weeks in the PL and it was boring.

At least yesterday, despite another loss, I and plenty others enjoyed the atmosphere and are proud to be a part of it.

We support a very depressing football club who play in a rented stadium that's only ever 2/3rds full. We should be proud of having a decent fanbase.

Thought Id add, I run a pub 30 miles from Norwich and since we played there 5 weeks ago, I’ve lost count of the amount of their fans praising our support, they reckon it was unbelievable and the best away supporters they’ve seen there in years, not joking, it’s literally everyone of them I’ve spoken to.
Great support PUSB

Bet the atmosphere against SU will be electric now we have something to smile about. I'm having a new hip next week so will miss the next few games - bugger.
