No one is saying its been great, but...

Postponed games caused disruption - unable to get into an early rhythm, players undercooked
Only 2 games in 10 at home
O’Hare missing for all 10
Hamer missing 4 out of 10

The table doesn't lie obviously but there are extenuating circumstances and I don't think we will be relegated.

As long as the performances are decent (which they are) the results will look after themselves. Luck will even it self out over 46 games.

Seems like as usual your looking at creating drama and default position is negativity.

I saw plenty of positives today. But that's just me and 1000s of other fans see the positives too.

No doubt theres many like you too.

I’m as frustrated as I am concerned. Our start last season gave us hope, we turned so many heads and raised so many eyebrows with how much of a force we were on attack. Without doubt the owners and investors would have seen and they had a choice, in January and as form started to slip, the club could have bolstered up on the pitch and we could’ve launched a serious top 6 bid. Of course, moronic of me to expect a hedge fund to gamble.

2022, odd good result aside last season, has been a pretty crappy year for us. As well as a crap January 21/22, this summer’s window was pants. It just was. I’m kind of sick of club officials making out they’ve turned a corner and rewarded us, and fans acting grateful just for keeping hold of certain players - especially as we kept hold of one of them by total accident.

I feel Robins is out of hats, let alone rabbits to pull out of them. Sorry but I’m not of that all too easy and unjustified presumption that we’ll win games in hand. We’re in a nasty dog fight. I dare say the hindsight brigade will be all over this if we end up having a good season. But the club has hit a ceiling without doubt, we go no higher than this league - and this league will always be a struggle at best “under the current regime”. Disagree if you want, it’s just what I feel.

Last season we were finding ways to win. On a few occasions this season already, maybe not today, we’ve found silly ways to lose.

The unfortunate start we had with fixtures has really hampered us. There are no quick fixes. It will be a real battle this season but we can turn it around. We just have to stick together.

We made it difficult for a good side today. Chances few a far between for both sides. Both defences take the credit tonight.

Plenty of possitives today. Except the goal and result.

We didn't play badly, just huffed and puffed and couldn't break them down. They're a strong side and they showed there class by seeing out the result.

Although we created very little, they hardly created much either, so I'd say so. However, once they got that one goal, apart from the header against the bar, we didn't look like scoring (due to a lack of sustained possession)

Incidentally, I was convinced that Gyokeres was fouled after the ball came down off the bar. It looked less clear on the highlights, but I was right in line with it and thought it was a foul. Anybody see it ?

They barely had a shot on goal that I can remember. Stats say 4...but two of those were literally back passes. Wilson was hardly tested.

how many on target did we have?

Both defences cancelled each other out. No side had real chances. Once theyy got the goal it was always going to be difficult with their ability to control possession. They did a good job on us today. But they could not stretch out further in front because we were still a threat.

I really didn't see us making it difficult for Burnley today. That was probably one of their easiest wins of the season.

5-1? Apart from that they win by the odd goal. But possession stats are high.

I think our team could not afford:
  1. A shit transfer window during which our owners abandoned the 'incremental progression' philosophy
  2. A temporary loss of income from postponed home games
  3. The loss of COH and Hamer
What do people honestly expect? We can only hope its not terminal.

Another concern for anyone looking closely today was just how bad the ball rolled on that pitch. So bobbly, already.

We need every point we can get and every game is a chance to get them.

Exactly that. We we garbage home and away in 2012 and looked clearly below the level.

Besides Norwich and parts of today, we've matched everyone and in many cases been the better side. You'd like to hope that should eventually turn results around. Especially when our best two players have been out and our only signing is only just fit.

The world cup with change things this year. It will be a huge chance to reset, recover etc.

I thought it was a clear foul too at the time and was surprised no one appealed apart from him. Looked like he was pushed to me.
