Think we'll keep O'Hare for the rest of the season now, but can see Gyokeres going in January if we receive a bid

Lol no the issue is, we could be 4th and you and others would still find something to be negative about.

but we’re not are we? we’re sitting bottom with only Preston (who are the most negative team in the league) with only fewer goals. plus the majority of teams we’ve played have been average. The majority in the bottom half of the league. all I kept seeing was, wait till we play 6 games, wait till we’ve played 8 games, wait till we’ve played 10 games. Now it’s wait till the World Cup break. When is the time to start worrying?

There's being proud of it, which we all are, for how shit the last 20 years have been we have fantastic support

Its the cringe fucking comments on social media to fans of clubs that take 3 points off us without breaking a sweat, going all 'You were well quiet, shit fans, we out sung you for 90 minutes'

Be proud of it yes, the high percentage of mainly tbh fucking teenagers giving it stacks about how loud we are when were 6 points from safety with 1 win in 10 is sad

I think the lesson here is quite clearly to stop following teenagers on social media.

The thing is any manager can look at our team and say to the players ...stop Gyokeres theres not much threat anywhere else....
Burnley proved that on Saturday. Man marked him everything they lost the ball.

In my opinion, he’ll be kept out until January, and then the sale to Burnley will be reinstated.
Realistically.

I assume as the last bid fell through, they'd have to come in with a new bid? No idea how it works behind the scenes.
Really hope after getting him back up to speed, we'll be able to benefit with having him in the team before he's shipped off

I’m not sure either, but perhaps it’s an agreement between both parties. Who knows, but there’s more to the COH situation than meets the eye. In my opinion. 👍🏻

It’d be great to have him back, even if it’s for a handful of games. Cliches aside, the team has struggled without him, and if he does go, I’m wondering if he’ll be adequately replaced.

We lack a dynamic forward to play alongside Vik. The current forwards might suggest they are getting poor service and Vik has chosen to shoot when a pass has been on. However the reality is both Godden and Walker both physically dont have the attributes to represent a consistent threat at this level. Godden does have a decent goals to games ratio but without OHare this season he has found our current way of playing hard to operate in. Why Robins has not reverted to 1 up top (a system in the past he appeared wedded to) is puzzling at best.
A lack of fit midfielders means he has to play 2 upfront, it may not be ideal, but Goden is too experienced to leave out.

Now that Palmer is getting his match fitness and O'hare is coming back into the squad I think MR might well use the box formation and play 1 upfront, especially away from home.

That has certainly surprised me a system that has given him a lot of good results.
It can only be that O'Hare is the key to one up top.

How’s Godden been playing? I thought he’s bang 15 this year easy and he still might but how’s he been doing?

Godden can't play without OHare. Neither can Dabo.

He’s a 25 goal a season striker at this level, apparently.

He's not having a good season, that's clear.

The bigger issue for me is that our midfield don't score. Your best mate Sheaf and also Allen are about as impotent as a pair of 98 year old men.

Throw in Dabo who has next to no end product, and Bidwell who isn't getting forward that much, and we are in real trouble if something happens to Gyökeres.

This is generally speaking of course.

Without knowing what's going to happen in January but it's shows how important O'Hare is to our attacking play.

Early in the season we were scoring plenty but losing, so Robins changed it up, focussed on defence and made us hard to beat. In the last 6 we have 11 points yet people piss their pants and have to find something to be negative to worry about.

When Hamer and O'Hare are back in the side it will give us more options and freedom going forward.

Everyone knows how reliant we are on a handful of players, until we get owners that want to invest then there is little that can be done.

A great decision by Robins working with the players he has available to get points on the board.

Godden is useless in our current style, we’d be better off with another AM in the box. We end up with a huge gap between midfield and attack, and constant balls over the top to chase which is hardly Goddens strength.

He’ll do much better when we start playing AMs regularly and dominating the ball higher up the pitch IMO.

I think if he wants to keep the flat three for stability, I’d put Palmer or Waghorn (or Cal soon!) in behind Vik instead of Godden to be a link with more of a free role.
