Gonna need a record high points tally for survival and a record low for play offs I reckon

The confidence in the immediate term is we survived our first season with Gyokeres only playing a bit part at the end of the year, and form picked up then anyway.

So it's not absolute crisis if he goes, although obviously would be a very big loss and make it a lot harder for us.

I think it's imperative we keep him. If he went (and worst case scenario he wasn't replaced), we'd need Gooden, Walker, Waghorn or Tavares to shoot us to safety. I still think Gooden is a great player but having a stinker at the moment. Between the 4 of them, it would be a tough ask to replicate what Gyo has brought to the team in the last few months.

Saying that though, we've 'got through' ok so far with CoH and Hamer only playing half of the games - albeit with not scoring much.

Impossible to say. We could get relegated or promoted. This league is batshit

Anyone got Forests season last year they could overlay with our season so far. … just to compare trajectory 😳😳

Our current team without Gyokores is clearly low on goalscoring and creating capability.

If the re-introduction of O'Hare and Hamer leads to us creating more for the likes of Godden/Waghorn, then we could possibly stand to lose Gyokores and continue to climb the table. Big "if" though....

That's true. Think he's just improved so much since then though, he's a level above all of our other strikers.
Even games like last night where he was pretty much marked out of the game, he'll still have an impact like winning that penalty

The best is yet to come horrendous start due to pitch. If we do well in our next 10 games (7 home and 3 away) which i think we will, come Chrismas we will be sitting in the top half ready for a big push in the new year.We are on the up .I haven't seen an outstanding team in the league to worry about this season. Our squad will improve with Hamer back and COH on his way back.Lets have a bit more optimism on here.

You've gotta be looking at 4 home wins from them 5

Think assuming we'll beat either Blackburn or QPR (based on current positions/form) is a bit presumptuous. That would be on the back of having beaten Rotherham, Blackpool and Wigan (all of which are winnable, but not definite) Would like 10 points from those 5, but 9 isn't the end of the world )hopefully beating the 'easier' teams which would drag them towards the bottom (albeit Rotherham, in particular, have overachieved so far) I'd take anything from either of the away games - Stoke looking the easier game, as Watford (though unpredictable) have very talented individuals.

Now the team isn't conceding quite confident robins and his staff have done well.

Id back a team with Hamer Sheaf Palmer and O’Hare to produce enough chances for Godden. I think our current style of lump intyp to Vik doesn’t help him at all.

But if Vik goes surely you’re talking £10m, you’d expect us to at least pick up a loan or two.

Didn’t think we’d go down even when we got spanked at Norwich (which really could have been 6-7/0 if they got into another gear) and still don’t think we will

Someone alluded to it earlier but I don’t think we’ve really been seen at our best yet either!

I think we will end up between 12th and 17th

I’m looking at half way by xmas, as for selling Vik, in January, madness unless a big chunk of any incoming fee is allowed for team building that won’t happen if Sepalla is still the owner, lucky if we will be allowed to replace him at all, might with a new one.

Feels like we have adapted and found a way , it's not pretty bit we are effective

In the 12 matches we've played this season , we've had the second hardest set of games in the league based on PPG .

5 clean sheets in 6

10 points in the last 5 matches

How do people feel about survival this season now ?
I see there’s been talk that once O’hare returns/we’re out of danger we will return to our more expansive game.
Fuck that! Continue as we are and we’ll win the league!
(we’re not going to win the league).
