You’ve just admitted that he’d end up being back up in that formation - Vik is light years ahead of him ability wise and as a lone striker.
Exactly what I've said. Vik starts. Matty rotates. You can't have one lone striker starting/finishing every game - demands of that role are too much.

Godden is useless in the loan striker role against most sides in thus division. He can do it against the poorer sides like Pboro away last season

Wilder commented yesterday on Godden's role in our attack and sees him as more than just a goalscorer.

The fact Robins keeps picking him even when he's not scoring suggests Wilder is right.

He did a job, but im not convinced it was any more of a job than Waghorn or Walker would have done if they'd played from the start.

I'm not saying he was great yesterday.

Just saying that he's more than just a poacher and opposition managers have picked up on that.

Anyone would think managers know more than the fans, how absurd!

Wilder is about to get the boot - he doesn’t even know what he’s doing with his own team.

This isn’t really a deliberate bump but he’s surely a concern now. He really is slow and the way we play he’s rarely in the penalty area - looks like he’s had his day to me
I think Robins suggested he isn't training that much but it shows in his sharpness

Watch Godden out of possession. His runs and threat create space for Vic. We all like our strikers to get 20+ a season, but there is more to his game.
But it would be nice to see him create space for himself and get a goal or 2 more often

Got injured at paintball again, apparently. 3-4 months.

Time for Waghorn to step up and deliver then. He was quite open in his interview after midweek that he’s not got near the contribution he expects of himself and sounds determined so 🤞🏻

Don’t think Walker is the answer but another option. Can’t see Tav getting a lot of game time.
