Apologies for a comparison that maybe not everyone will get, but if anyone has seen Prison Break, Wasps just remind me of 'The Company'. They just won't fucking die, and whenever you think you have defeated them you end up going round another corner where you find all your broke off was a finger to a much bigger hand. Richardson is like The General; so drunk on power that he just wants to keep going to spite everyone else, even when he has lost. The Council are effectively the grass that those snakes hide in and it just never ends. I can still see the latter fucking us over if the decision comes to them, because so many corrupt councillor's also have bruised egos that they won't let go of.

SISU are holding all the cards right now, the problem is, I am not sure they are serious enough to use them. Tomorrow is a big day. Let's all hope for the best. I just really want us to get out of this shit and be able to breathe for five minutes. Fingers crossed that can be the case.
🤞

Don't think they'd sell it, if they end up playing back at the cbs they'll use it

Completely agree mate, it's just a fair size 'if' at the moment.

If they do get a new deal to play at the CBS I'm looking forward to even bigger lies about their attendances. They'll be lucky to get 2000 in the championship once the excitement wears off.

If they're going to rent a pitch anyway, it would make more sense to do that in London, imho.

Just to add, it's likely to be a good while before Wasps come out of admin, lots of RFU hoops to jump through.

I can't see the ACL thing taking anywhere near as long to resolve, but don't hold me to it!

Ah, thanks duffer, you've just reminded me to post on another thread.

Tomorrow is really the worst day for me to be in rural west Africa hours away from an internet connection.

Literally going to be wishing I was on SBT instead. This website and this club has me all fucked up.
Oh we are approaching it all very differently then, because my thinking is "wake me up on Tuesday morning and tell me what happened."

They should groundshare at the Butts. Won't need more than half a stand.

Different situation now. Far more people engaged in the situation. Cov sitting in a higher league. They won't be able to pull the charm offensive, free ticket bollocks again.

All that aside I just can't see how any new owners would want to keep them here when it's a great chance to reset back in London. Considering they are starting off again in the championship there will be no better time to move back and grow again. Groundshare with a smaller London football club. Makes way more sense than rattling around a stadium with 25000 empty seats
Regardless of clearing a lot of the debt, probably shitting on the bondholders, pissing off unpaid suppliers, and generally not being supported by the locals, they've spunked millions even before Covid hit. Can't believe the ex-players/legends/supporters who have brought the home team will be daft enough to think they would ever make money or have a long life at the CBS, or anywhere with an already established rugby team. This is Coventry, not Milton Keynes. If they want to have another whirl at it they they've probably fell for some bullshit that all can be rosey. Perhaps Shugs is on the board.

Their best bet is to tick along and try to break even back down South where their natural fan base is.

Well get you, I'm going to be in rural West Hillfields, what a bummer.
I'll be in rural west Keresley, literally milliseconds from an internet connection.

Think I'd rather be in rural west Africa or rural west Hillfields.

My texting thumb is gonna be on overdrive tomorrow, that's for sure.

I wonder if ACL will sue for breach of licence and loss of earnings. Must be worth a lot of dosh to ACL if wasps play elsewhere.

P53 of the prospectus.

Think that's what they're referring to as the extension.
Given they couldn't grasp their own situation its quite understandable that they can't grasp ours.
Yeah so they have no clue what they are talking about then

Will soon find out if ours gets paid....

Yeah, they don't realise the situation do they

Hopefully Grendel and SBT take me up on my charity bet that this HMRC thing will be sorted by the end of the year.

I don’t understand why you are sticking laughing emojis as if this is a game

it’s a sign of cash flow distress over what is i would hope a relatively low level of debt.

if the next 3 games aren’t played at home I assume ticketmaster still pay the club but I think customers are entitled to refund so could be 39,000 refunds and the cost of moving games

There are 3 payments still to make on I assume a quarterly PAYE return (?) with another due early new year

It can be “sorted” by selling another asset to pay for it. That’s what will happen

Not exactly hilarious is it
