Even if he’s involved with the London Wasps takeover?
TBF if managed and funded right it’s not bad business sense to have the Wasps here - extra income from advertising at stadium (greater number of eyeballs on each advert) etc.

Personally - rather they went back to London but I could see why MA might want to keep them here.

Not claiming to be an ITK but I’ve heard from someone I’ve not spoken to in years that Ashley is involved in all of it…he’s buying the stadium, buying the club, and just for fun he’s also buying Wasps and will rebrand them as CCFC cheerleaders wearing these bad boys

despite the club statement earlier. still confusion around logistics with ACL. Walsall is still a real possibility tomorrow.

To be fair to you you’ve been quite accurate with your predictions to date, ignore the gibbons on here who try to knock you.

I’m going to now check you syntax and work out who you are 🤣

Surprised how keen everyone is for Ashley.

Would prefer to invite and share CBS with Cov Rugby Club, and flog off their land.

First break of the day so could finally spend time catching up on the last ten pages or so on here.

Worth it, as I think I’m feeling positive about it all….or at least tomorrow night anyway.

Too late for Ashley to be involved in the Wasps adminstration, an offer has already been accepted from the "Wasps Legends" (ahem) for the rugby business.

Thank fuck for that too, I wouldn't want them anywhere near the CCFC business. Should never have been in Coventry and a financial lead balloon at that; far better they go their own way, hopefully back to their London-based fans.

When your mate asks if you have any more 50p coins to break the record on Time Crisis 2:

He also tweeted yesterday that 'I don’t talk business on twitter' so not likely to be related to anything to do with a potential takeover or the stadium situation.

I would agree, but if they ever did resurrect the club, and it is still under Wasps holdings, which I think it has to be, then it is a cash cow for anyone who holds the ACL lease and that supposedly 50 year licence to play all home games at the Arena in the prospectus.

Worth milking for every single bit of cash.

I'm not sure a few thousand fans (at most) every few weeks, and a permanently damaged pitch would make it worthwhile to whoever ends up running the arena. I'm pretty sure that the football side of the club would rather not share the pitch.

Edit: Just to add, it would be unethical too. Wasps do not belong in Coventry and never did, I wouldn't want us to profit from them remaining here. Just mho, obviously, but I know how I'd feel if someone did it to us.

Absolutely nothing wrong with him in my opinion. Newcastle fans were the reason he is made out to be a bad owner despite them being financially stable and almost exclusively in the Premier league

There are worse business models in football than financial stability and the occasional relegation, but you won’t find me waving any palm leaves to celebrate someone coming in and promising that.

Probably right, but the amount which ACL has just set for a home game at the Arena could be amusing.
