In phase 1 yes. He will want the club as he well knows together they are complementary assets. SISU are up against it as they have the Council who despise them and a bidder with a business plan that would wake up even the most half asleep local councillor!

I actually don't mind at this point but I would favour one owner of the stadium and the club.
If Sisu got a decent offer surely they'd consider it, apart from Hoffmans we'll pay you on promotion they've not had one

That could happen though, there have been loads of rumours one with sisu linking up with an investor on a 51%/49% basis. I hope the investor is Elon Musk
I’m guessing it was the McEvoy or whoever model.

SISU just want a performing secure investment on their portfolio. One with a jackpot Prem Promotion angle was better.

It has gone all a bit hatstand this week.

🤷🏻‍♂️

Just saying you’d expect some contact before steaming in to buy it if that was the plan. After all we heard when he was interested in Wasps.
Apparently interested in Wasps. It suited Wasps to have that story out there in the hope it would either generate interest in them or push anyone looking at them to take action.

I think his plan is to get cbs and then wait until Sisu are ready to sell at cut price. He’ll be in no rush as he holds the stadium card. Why would he pay them millions when everyone knows they aren’t gonna build another stadium. They’ll be backed into a corner eventually but will go down kicking and screaming no doubt.

However, be interesting to see what happens now. So did I read a post earlier that said he’s potentially bought the lease already and now these companies are just going into admin with nothing in them but debt?

Preparing myself for the worst over here.

I just want us to be able to buy a couple of players in Jan, maybe even keep O’Hare. It’s not too much to ask is it?
Literally just messaged by brother saying all I want if it comes off is a couple of additions in Jan then new contracts for Vik, Cal, Gus and Sheaf.

Simon Gilbert adamant that Mike Ashley hasn’t been in touch with SISU. I wonder if SISU are watching from the sidelines thinking WTF is going on like the rest of us. Joy checking her phone every couple of minutes to see if she’s had a missed call from Mike Ashley.
Be funny if half the posters on here were actually SISU and they have just been unknowingly arguing with each other for the past decade or so.

I don’t agree.

If it is his plan then he’s an idiot because sisu will move us around. Fuck about and take 10 years of his life before they consider selling on the cheap and he knows it.

So people saying they saw him at the game but any pics?
If I don’t get a response to my blackmail note, then I’ll post them on here….. :ROFLMAO:

Agreed. Why would SISU cut the price just because Ashley owns the Ricoh? They'll put the price up.

SISU can continue to run the club as it is and hope to fluke a promotion to the top flight to gain their money back.

If Ashley threatens to become disruptive, SISU aren't scared to move us.

Yeah I hear what you’re saying but he’s a businessman not a fan. He’s not gonna pay millions to Sisu now as he only buys companies in distress. He might not be desperate for the club and just run the stadium and all that comes with it. If the
club becomes available on the cheap it’s a bonus for him.

Yup was going to say the same thing. If that’s the case and Ashley’s stance then there’s no chance. We will just be playing elsewhere.

I repeat he set aside £50 million for a just relegated Derby

If he's done the deal at around £20M to account for delapidations etc and p shares bring in circa£10M that will satisfy bondholders maybe a few others .
So Sisu were willing to deal for lets call it 50% partnered with some professional Investors from over there and assume those professionals were possibly in the same ballpark suggests to me that is what they would value there contribution towards that deal which is
What £5M or so under their actual and in the game still .
Now tomorrow who knows but it kind of seems the boat has been missed but that's what I base any likely bids for them will be.
Can't help think there might be one downside to it all through and I'm afraid it could involve an event with the club .
The shut off of back up funding leaves us vulnerable and in this environment I wouldn't expect them to turn the taps on and it's clear alone there will be no progress.

Haas prepared to pay similar if not more for a team in L1 and a stadium without all the bells and whistles.

Which was a lot easier to purchase than CCFC as Mel Morris was selling the lot. Sisu repeatedly have said they ain’t selling.

Listen I hope I’m wrong I really do I just think if Ashley gets it we could be stuck treading water for a while.

Could prove to be wrong on this but the role of the Council in this shouldn't be understated. I'm sure as freeholder they have to rubber stamp any deal. If Ashley acquires ACL and Sisu retain the football club this could be a toxic mix. Surely no one would willingly sign this off as the best offer for the City.

Willingly or not, if any potential buyer isn't breaching the terms of the lease then I think there's very little the council could do about it without ending up in court again. In essence they can't
"unreasonably" prevent a transfer (assignment) of the lease.

Of course, I guess there isn't even a transfer if ACL is purchased whole, so even less chance of the council being involved.

I can’t really see that Ashley would buy the stadium without having some kind of assurances from SISU re selling the club

It would seem very odd. For better or worse, I don't really see him as someone who wants to make his name in arena management.

I also don’t think SISU would let it happen. Their goal for years and years has always been the arena. Don’t see that they would just stand by and let someone nip in and take it away when it’s finally available

The logic being only SISU should be allowed to buy ACL?
Not sure I see any difference in the "problematic potential" for Ccfc between Ashley, NEC or another 3rd party ( or indeed some prepack that keeps Richardson involved) buying ACL. All could offer Ccfc difficulties.

Obvious issue is SISU do not have the financial resources to complete with Ashley or even NEC ( if they are interested)

Ashley's actually stepping down from the board of Fraser's next month apparently .
Might need a hobby.
