Time to put pressure on SISU? (1 Viewer)

I’ll be the first to hold my hands up and say I got it wrong re our ownership. Call me naive, but I honestly thought this was their chance and they would take it. I have been blaming mainly the council for the shit we have seen over the last 10 years but fact is they’re all as useless as each other.

SISU’s incompetence and unwillingness to invest is going to threaten the future of our club. Any competent business person could see that having the CBS on their balance sheet instantly boosts the club’s value. Making it easier to borrow to invest if needed, attract investors or even make the club more attractive to a takeover. But they’ve done fuck all and let the best opportunity to have our destiny in our own hands slide.

Results on the pitch over the last 4/5 years have given them an easy ride and pulled the wool over a number of our eyes.

WE NEED THEM GONE.

What can we do to put the pressure back on them?

And I don’t mean cause disruption at games as the players and staff at CCFC do not deserve that.

Just fed up of this shit. I’m only 29 and all I’ve known is us being riddled with controversies and shit.

Just want to support a normal club that doesn’t worry about where they’ll be playing each year.

I say we all start singing “Mike Ashley’s Sky Blue Army” at every game.
As we are still not quite sure what's going on and who else is involved, can't we sing a variation of the "you dirty northern bastards" and change to "you dirty faceless bastards?"

Are you suggesting 12 people on a hill AND NOPM wasn't a success 😬

It was more the thousands marching through the city and widespread condemnation across the media. We shot our load and Joy just took it in her stride.

I personally think (hope) they are gone anyway. Their silence is telling (so far).

In reality Sisu is one person and like Delboy Derek she’s never very publicity hungry unless she can bask in some good news

I’ve wasted all my energy over the years getting worked up over off the field shite, probably a bad or defeatist outlook to have but if we’re playing in Coventry I’ll continue to go and support the team, I can’t be arsed with the politics of it anymore

I’d tend to agree with Nick - they usually Trot Sepalla or Fisher out to blame someone else in an exclusive interview before something goes tits up.

if they’ve stopped the funding, and kept silent, I think this is a suggestion they’re open to an exit

Realistically there's nothing we can do. Protests in the ground just sour the atmosphere, cause division among fans and are ignored by the owners who don't even see them. Trips to empty London offices do nothing. NOPM or some type of boycott will only result in the money made available to Robins being cut even more.

Lets face it, they had no issue with taking us to Northampton, Birmingham, Burton and very nearly Walsall, they don't give a shit what we think.

We'll be rid of them when they have a viable exit.

Is Fisher the football clubs chairman still, if he he hasn't said a thing about making a bid or the future of the club, normally under these circumstances he blabs his bullshit, very quiet at the moment

If you catch him in a first class train carriage back to London after a game and some booze you could probably solve the whole problem in a few hours

Yes it needs to be remembered that at times there was significant opposition and organisation against Sisu.
For the record let’s also remember a core group on this site (especially Nick, Grendel, Torch and Chief Dave) spent years being Sisu apologists, diverting criticism and attacking anyone trying to oppose or organise against Sisu.

I imagine SISU might be open to selling to Ashley, as him buying ACL means they won't have to put their hands in their pockets to pay out themselves. I can't see Ashley not wanting control of the football club, as the club's profile will bring wider attention to the arena as a whole. The 8 years left on the rental contract at the CBS gives SISU some leeway timewise though, and as such gives them a decent bargaining position to extract a bigger pay off from Ashley. The problem for us fans is that Ashley doesn't look the type to lie down and get his belly tickled by SISU, so there could be some hard bargaining that could stretch over a long period of time before any deal is done. I'm still naively hoping that contrary to reports Ashley & SISU have been or are in contact, because if not this could drag on for years, while we remain with owners only looking at keeping the club running with minimal investment.
