How can he distress them?
Am I the only person on here who has ever rented? You can have a good co-operative landlord and you can have a complete dick of a landlord who makes your life as difficult as possible.

He could, for example, provide a shit pitch that doesn't suit our style of play, he could deliberately book events that clash with our games so we're constantly moving games to Friday nights or other times when crowds will be lower. Given we don't know the terms of the contract regarding rent increases there's potential that there is scope for an increase. He could be awkward about use of hospitality, hike costs up for match day services. There's plenty of ways your landlord can make life difficult if they choose to.

Well now the nonsense of a new ground are exposed as - well nonsense

Whatever misgivings there are about Ashley - plenty i am sure - I would think if this goes through they will have little support in the fan base to cling on much longer

Time to get an exit strategy together
Conversation required for that to happen. Ccc more interested in wasps than us still

Why? Come on Pete stop talking in riddles. What’s stopping Sisu from selling up, or investing in the club, or putting a bid in for the arena?

Sorry mate but it seems again the club blaming everyone else for things they’re in complete control over.

I’d have some sympathy if they ever actually bid for the arena.

Will never know the whole story and sorry if you think I’m talking in riddles

Because they have no money and a failing business model, they have gone from thirty plus employees in a swanky Mayfair office to a fanny full of employees in a two bit office elsewhere.

I’m sure the truth will come out. Maybe after the arena takeover and the appeal is heard for their relegation

I don’t think they have appealed have they?

It has not been announced who "bid" has it?

I understand an appeal is in process - blaming COVID

Havent seen that anywhere and isn’t there a realistic chance they will lose the p Share back to the RFU? The buyers haven’t even been approved have they?

So you don't know?

Well there’s been no mention of them, and they’ve not said they had which surely you’d want the PR pressure from.

Fact is they’re blowing the best chance in a generation of getting us back to the Prem and being on a sustainable footing.

Maybe it’s all 4D chess, but so far its barely naughts and crosses in terms of results.

Sounds to me like a few snakes and lots of ladders

Cant see Ashley buying the lease for anything close to £25m - the valuation is driven down by the £13m dilapidation requirements

There is some talk of a separate refinance to them which again is on his terms as the preferred bidder. Also they have security over assets with wasps holdings so the trustee can claim secured assets there

Ashley can take considerable time to purchase the football club. In the meantime he gets assured revenue through the clubs sub lease. He would I’m sure not be adverse to wasps playing as well. He will look to maximise revenue through the stadium initially. He can wait years to buy the club if he wants and can wait until it’s value is driven down - he never buys things without looking at profit
You are a Conservative so you should understand what a conservative estimation is.

All sides seem to be OK with what he is offering. Happy so far?

So you think he would offer the same 6.5% to refinance the bonds? Seems to be what you are aiming at. So would you like to suggest who would make the payments now Wasps are gone?

Yes he can afford to wait years if needed. But he can also afford to make it happen straight away. And it wouldn't take much to make us leading contenders for playoffs minimum. Look at how ordinary we made Blackburn look.

Or would you like to suggest that Joy would like to keep a grip on us whilst not willing to finance taking the next step or financing a new ground once the arena is out of reach?
