Well I’ve said they have - I think what Pete has been told is they were stitched up as a pre pack was agreed by all parties in advance of administration so all other bids were never considered
Yeah and I’m not saying it’s true but looks likely

Thing is Ashley was offered pre pack and preferred bidder status etc

Council/ACL pushed it through quickly to avoid an open market admin knowing the only other show in town was SISU.

As i said the other day, this is what i meant by council still having snouts in the trough

In return Ashley can actually bring a lot of jobs and genuine investment into the stadium and local economy. SISU can’t.

He must though have got a deal struck with Richardson as the primary unsecured creditor?

Certainly on paper yep although he’s clearly a xxnt

If he brings some prosperity to the city during these dark economic times then I’m not sure he is as much of one as you suggest.

As for the comically poorly named Joy who you seem to have been speaking to-she has brought nothing but unhappiness and bitter feeling in her 15 years here.

Why are you so angry about all this?
Not really angry just hugely frustrated
If we acknowledge that capitalism with accountability is the best form of society the likes of Ashley are the worst form of winners in the model of capitalism without accountability
I think that’s why I’m so angry about him personally

I absolutely take that point I really do but it’s people like him making so much money that means we can’t invest in basics as a society like good education for all for instance

He employs over 25,000 people.

I think the Council and their self-important original handling or the deal is what has got many people’s backs up.

If they had said,“look SISU, we’ve got another option so if you want the Arena stop with the silly shit. Better still let’s all sit around the table because maybe having Wasps here saves you some money on upkeep costs, maybe not. Let’s thrash it out. If you carry on with the distress nonsense then we have to do what’s best for the City”

The council didn’t. They pretended that they were some kind of Big City business dealers with a secret mission. They are not, they are civil servants with cheap suits at the behest of the taxpayer.

Im pretty sure Ms Seppala doesn’t live in rented accommodation and shops at Aldi.

Ashley I suppose is proof if nothing else that education is not a pre-cursor to huge wealth

I disagree, that’s down to political choices made as a country. As for Ashley the evidence points to him wanting to set up shop in a particular area and build something long term. If he does then the city as a whole benefits.

SISU are a hedge fund. Looking like Ashley to seize on distressed businesses for their own profit. They’re just a lot worse at it than he is.

Be nice if ccc bent over backwards to support organisations and individuals in the city as much as they did with wasps and they appear to be doing with him
Come on mate - you can’t blame the council for this one 😂 SISU could have pre-packed this themselves - they didn’t because they were waiting until it was worth pennies. I get the strategy

Ashley comes in before admin and buys it. Not a lot the council could do really

You don’t think abhorrent private wealth is a stain on our society?

Right. Tax businesses so much that they flag out abroad and we get less tax revenue to pay for the basics of society, borrow, devalue sterling etc.

The EU playbook accelerated.

They may be supporting it but they’re not the decision makers. It’s a deal that’s gone through a private entity and the administrators.

there was nothing stopping SISU making a bid

if they did make a bid and it was not considered that’s a different matter

I don’t like huge wealth and income inequality but Mike Ashley personally isn’t to blame for how that system came into being. Again, we’re owned by an even more predatory type of capitalist.

Maybe call Joy a c**t too if you’re being consistent.

I think if some billionaire sheik with a dodgy human rights record bought ccfc and promised a £500 million transfer war chest as a start most supporters would cheer from the rooftops

It’s a balance it’s capitalism with regulation . Private wealth is at abhorrent levels. Your challenge is one that local councils and Westminster and the eu have to consider of course

Fair comment. I should know more about what sisu as a business have specifically been involved in. I understand how hedge funds work of course

Its like a boxing match between Happy Shopper v Walmart

No administrators they aren’t in admin are they?

I think most with objections to Ashley would similarly drop these if he took over and gave Robins £20 million to spend

Even if this was the only one that they were, look at what they did in 2013. Finding themselves ultimately condemned by every judge to pass comment

Exactly - football fans are the biggest hypocrites in the world.

And to be honest if he’s willing to properly bankroll the club to the tune of millions or tens of millions he has the right to put what he wants on the stadium or kit. You would just hope that he sees our preference for more unique kits as a selling point

Give me success and I’ll take a donnay kit off the rack with the CCFC badge and Sport direct on it

They are now. But the deal was made prior to admin with the administrators. It’s a “when you go to admin I’ll make this bid” deal

SISU know how to do this, but they’ve chosen the wrong time… again

boddy probably has been doing the rounds whining it’s not fair - we had an offer to buy - it’s not our fault
