That was so drab. Lots of players are not on it. Wigan look a threat at set pieces. Need to up it two-fold second half. Think we should have started with Allen.

Very O'Hare performance. Busy, runs direct at defence, worries them... then passes to nobody.

Gyokeres quiet, the boy-God that is Sheaf has done OK.

All unremittingly average so far!

Disappointing first half but we aren’t playing badly. Wigan are doing a great job of shutting down space around their box so our movement needs to be a step up to break them down.

We’re dominating the ball but sort of going through the motions, we need to raise the tempo and pace on and off the ball.

I’m expecting an improved second half and for us to break them down.

It’s like we don’t practice breaking teams down. They’re going to be happy to sit men behind the ball and hope for a set piece.

Need to stop floating balls in as well, whack em hard and at least hope for a corner.
That's a problem with having a CM in at RWB.

For all Kane's faults he'd be getting into better positions and testing their defence more with his crosses.

I think you'd give it 15 minutes after the break to see if the space opens up a bit as players start to tire. Then think about Allen and Kane for Palmer and Eccles around the hour mark.

When a team play like Wigan have you've got to be patient. The margin for error is tiny on these final balls when they defend deep and in tight banks of 4. The weight of the pass needs to be absolutely perfect too, to a) beat the back line and b) not over hit it to the keeper.

He would. I'd assume they wouldn't be giving him as much space as they have Eccles mind you.

It’s notnjust him O’Hare doesn’t too. How many goals have we scored from a cross above knee height? We haven’t got Dublin in his prime in the box.

We’re really struggling to break them down. Palmer has been poor, and O’Hare and Hamer’s final ball has badly let them down. Could still be 1-0 if Palmer had stuck that late chance away though. Confident we can find a break through in the second half.

He seemed adamant it was a corner. Hard to tell from where we’re sat

We struggle to find anyone in the box, regardless on the height of the ball tbf.

We tend to have 2/3 to aim for and always seem to find their sole defender.

They're very well organised, need Palmer & O'Hare's movement off the ball to drag them around more & create spaces.
Ironically might be a game for Allen.

You have to be patient but you also have to play with tempo and movement. We've done neither.

We’re looking reasonably solid at the back, and just need to keep the pressure on. Don’t see an obvious substitution at the moment.

Just seen replay, if he'd rolled it just to his right for Gyokeres would have been a certain goal.

Palmer was being pulled, but would have been a soft pen. Keeper got a finger on it though.

If it wasn’t a corner why were they all giving the defender high fives?
