Not ones playing for us, but ones you've seen who you thought would have made a great signing for us.
The good: Me picking a 16/17yo Robert Earnshaw as being far more of a prospect than Simon Haworth if we wanted to sign a striker.
The bad: When I lived in London, seeing Brentford fairly regularly. We should, I thought, have signed Paul Evans in a flash. Steve Sidwell was a nobody who'd go nowhere.
So I don't want the 'I saw Van Nistelroy and knew he'd be a star', I want the leftfield but realistic proofs of failure and why none of us should be let near a scouting team
(Ashley Young's brother Lewis Young looked alright for Northampton too. Guess I caught him on a good day given his later career! And am sure the Philosopher would approve of me having wanted us to sign Akinfenwa when he was at Swansea. Not as a first teamer, but as a hulk to throw on late in a game. Guess he eventually got to our level... or we got to his)
