Course he's the council

I mean, he’s not. The council are the councillors technically, colloquially it’s everyone who works for Coventry City Council. So Duggins can legitimately say it’s not been considered by the council and Gilbert can say the council did it. And both can be right. Isn’t language wonderful?

What’s not up for debate it seems is that it wasn’t taxpayer money being suggested, but Reeves introducing third parties. Which is not the angle Gilbert is going for.

Now before I go on I’m delighted for this kit man that he is still in a job especially at this time of the year. However, he’s given an impression that London wasps are returning to the area as he is effectively the old training ground caretaker. Not sure he should be doing this….

Especially as that training ground doesn't even belong to Wasps.

Sorry mate, couldn't read that.

All I could see was 'council apologist'.

Shocking yet not surprising.

So he is actively working against the interests of the club and SISU.

Basically doesn’t want CCFC owning the stadium.

Yep.

As i said when admin was announced at twat oclock 3 days after it SHOULD have been announced, it was pushed through with the preferred bidder exclusivity shit for Ashley as Reeves and co found out that Sisu DID have the cash to take on the stadium with this 51% investor

Council (disguised as ACL) shat themselves knowing sisu could finally get their paws on the ground and there was no way they would allow that

Or local journos fudging facts for clicks. Take your pick.

The Chief Exec becomes “the council” which he’s not, he’s Chief exec of Coventry City Council. A third party being introduced becomes “council bailout” because that’s the story angle he’s been working with TWW and the like.

After four hours, this is the best you can come up with?

So why didn’t Sisu bid?

Because Admin was widely expected. From all interested parties.

Then all of a sudden, open admin wasnt an option.

As i said at the time, ACL/Councils one last fuck you to the club

If what they want is for the club to prosper but not SISU then you wouldn't bar Big Mike from trying to get the club as well as the ground.

It’s mental how bent these cunts are.

Is there anyway this could blow up again in a legal sense with SISU?

The NEC wasnt ever really a goer i heard

I thought someone on here said they were outbid by Ashley, though I’ve lost track of who is ITK.

Still seems to me that the problem here is Sisu wanted to wait in the hope there weren’t others buyers and there were.

Can you imagine Mike Ashley meekly agreeing to talk to who he's told to, as well?

I dont get it. If there were no other buyers what’s the benefit of threatening Ashley? They block him and it’s Sisu anyway. If there were other buyers then what difference does it make?

Well to me he's holding all the cards. If SISU are the only other party interested, the Council can't afford to start dictating terms to him. Likewise if he's pledging serious investment into the arena and the city, he can simply say 'fine I'll take my money elsewhere' if the Council overstep their mark.

If he wants CCFC, he'll get it. I also imagine he could just tell Reeves whatever he wants to hear to get the deal over the line, then go back on it afterwards. Not like the Council ever held Wasps to any of their promises...

Not sure it was an ITK but I picked it up from media possibly CWR,think suggested as a bit of counter bidding at which point NEC dropped out.

@Nick May have been right all along

Murmurings that Richardson will still be involved after Ashleys bid

Maybe we havent seen the end of the insects

Richardson will never leave quietly. It's naive to think it's over this easily.

I've said before many times, it is nothing to do with what is right or wrong, or what actually makes money and what leaks it.

The council and hierarchy at Wasps are extremely corrupt and will continue to try and infect this city with this insane project until someone takes them out. It's so out in the open now though, that they should indeed fear that someone will.
