I expect King to make a counter offer to FG for the stadium if this is for real. That'll turn the tables - he's the only one who can unite the club and stadium in our interests...

I'm still struggling to believe the DK deal is for real, but even if it is he surely doesn't have the funds to pressure Ashley.

What do I know though, I thought the club had an legally secure ten-year lease rather than a bog paper license.

Nothing is ever what it seems with anyone involved with the club, except perhaps the players and manager.

North Korea could use some sports-washing, maybe King is a front for them...

Of all the things transcribed here (this televised Council meeting wasn't well advertised ??!!), the most telling thing and at the same time, the least surprising is

"Duggins is saying "Why didn't you raise these questions last week", Ridley says "We didn't know about the eviction so how could we, unless you did?"

@Nick , can you say what the response from the chair and was to that ? Or was it drowned out by raised voices again ?

The racist memes are a pretty good sign that the guy is a crank.
tbf, they're just the cherry on top. The general tweeting is enough!

What next, we going to start asking Timmy Mallett for his views and think he's some kind of clairvoyant?

Not suggesting Timmy Mallett's a fan of a racist meme btw.

Just murmering.

When asked about the eviction, duggins said why didn't Ridley raise it last week at a seminar. Ridley said he didn't know about it last week.

Something along those lines.

Hilton app shows a availability up to then and it’s not available from 18th Dec until 7th Jan.
Other than the football assume there is not a lot going on there conference wise over Xmas so could just be the famed maintenance work. Unless Ashley wants the place to himself, Partridge style.

Or a massive party for Ashley.

Missed the first bit, ended up listening to traffic problems in Spon End and school disease outbreaks instead. But wasn’t the question about the sale, not the eviction?

Don't know, this was from one of Nick's posts. He was transcribing the meeting at the time.

It’s just so bizarre. Many thought we had a 10 year lease and therefore the security that such things provide. I guess a fair few of us on here have business experience and understand commercial leases to an extent.

License agreement? All along SISU were in a pickle.

Should have played things so differently, particularly during the stage pre Ashley exclusivity.

Doug “25 mil” King surely could have agreed some rent up front (like 1.2m) to get the licensed converted to lease and then create some mechanism to pay £5m to keep the ship afloat before paying £15-£20m to the bonders to get their security off. Or, some hedge fund chicanery to give them some coupon return / pay off in Prem / whatever to keep them at bay.

King / SISU were either tricked into being straightjacketed with the Storey exclusivity, or are just amateurs.

Waiting for ACL to go into admin when you’ve a license not a lease?

Stupid stupid stupid.

It might have been. Will have to watch back.

Ridley definitely insinuated duggins knew about the eviction.

Can you watch them back? The webcast site doesn’t seem to let you watch todays. Is this like iFollow where Sky have the rights?

he said we had and signed a licence with wasps for ten years that now becomes null and void upon Ashley’s takeover of the ground. If sisu didn’t know that then that’s their own stupid fault. They were good terms for us and Ashley wants market value for rent and a new rent agreement. That’s all just not the peanuts we were paying wasps.

we have until May 2023 season end to agree a new deal else we are homeless again. in the mean time we stay on current terms and home games are not in doubt. So that’s a relief for now.

as for Ashley buying the club he said wait and see. Who knows but certainly a possibility. He also said this is what puts do many buyers off ccfc is there is too many moving parts and too many people involved. Sisu ccc and now Ashley and obviously was wasps and makes the whole thing hard work.

He was also very critical of sisu and said look they owned the club now for 15 years and have messed up at every turn. How we were bottom of the chain when Ricoh came up for grabs is ludicrous to him.

really enjoyed his insight tbh and agree with it all
How would he know all this stuff???
