I'd put money on Hoffman & co having made protestations to EFL about the funds. Hopefully the EFL will be strong enough to tell them to take a run and jump...

The EFL are a joke really, what if we were days away from running out of cash and needed the takeover to go through, would they really take this long?

I've had a suspicion that once Ashley won the bid for the arena ahead of a late proposal worth a further 7m from King that this will not end well. Just a feeling, as I don't see why King would want our club without the stadium ever becoming his? His late bid trumping Ashley by some distance probably had him thinking he couldn't lose, but he did.
Ashley will not relinquish the stadium and has CCFC over the coals. (Thank you CCC again, and a court decision a little bizare to tell the truth.)
A deal to play at Ashley's arena will be made at a much higher rent for the medium term, of that I don't doubt. Longer term, unless King gets us in the premiership - assuming he still comes through, (and face rent increases again to some astronomical figure) he has no more prospects than SISU had over the last 15 years. And that my friends means King may back out of this.
Then the doors open to Ashley to rescue the club from Joy for even less. Combined with the stadium Ashley ultimately ends up with stadium and football club for less than 35m. That's brokmanship of the highest order.
The end game for us fans is Ashley will unite stadium and club as it was always meant to be and has the money to get us to the premiership. What's not to like about that?

Let’s hope that’s how it plays out, but will CCC let it? Maybe Ashley will tell them to keep their noses out of his business

SISU will put us into admin before they let Ashley try any shenaningans then that will f&^k any thoughts about anyone making money out of us, SISU would control the administrator like the first time.

Doubt that, isn’t most if not all the debt owed to them not an expert on this perhaps somebody else will tell us but with admin they would only get so much in the pound I think.

I had an accidental beer with an associate of Joy and Tim and it was a very interesting chat. Unfortunately I got drunk and I can’t recall the detail of the conversation at all… neither can the wife. But it was the closest I’ve ever been to being ITK and I’ve somehow managed to fook it up. But all I can say is that it made me relatively comfortable with what’s going on and it got rid of my bad mood after the result on Saturday. I just wish I could recall a bit more detail. I realise that this is a pointless post 😂😂 now I know he’s connected, I’m mixing in the same circle as him in Feb so will stay off the beer. My name is Covkid1968 and I’m an alcoholic
