The longer it goes on the more I think it ain't going to happen.
Well he’s been at our last two games seems keen enough and waiting for this rubber stamp, can’t think what’s holding it up or who EFL discuss it with or what information they are waiting on.

These things just seem to take a while. Different body, but Bournemouth takeover seems to take a while to approve. Birmingham's is more complicated but that is still awaiting approval from the summer.

Maybe their decision is known, have you thought about that.

It’s not really like the club to play pretend on this stuff, especially Robins and they said last week they’d just sent off extra info that was requested. I don’t see the benefit to the club for not announcing when we’ve got home games coming up and it’ll likely end up in a bump in interest.

But maybe

'Sent off extra info requested'

Like applying for a passport, this club cant even do takeovers properly

It’s not the club though is it, unless more info is wanted from Sepalla it’s between Doug King and the EFL and it’s probably down to King to announce any decision, I’m not saying a decision has been made but you never know.

Did you cut yourself on a KoS razor or something?

I just think the wjhole things a charade tbh

Also if by some chance he does take over, hes not exactly got bottomless pockets has he looking at everything, he seems to have about £50 more than Seppalla

I understand what you are saying but I don’t think he would be showing his face for two games now if he had serious doubts about it, but I don’t think he’s a lone wolf either.

Another thing it wouldn’t be very prudent to announce a takeover before the window opens and we have a few extra quid to spend and burning holes in our pockets, puts prices up.

I don’t think they can hide it. The EFL themselves have to announce it when they approve takeovers I believe.

Just been thinking about this. What is to stop King allowing Joy and SiSu to act on his behalf before the approval comes through and he just provides them the financial backing ? We could still work in the transfer window and continue to improve the squad and the EFL can take their time over their paperwork ?

I read that somebody had done that with another club, can’t remember who, and it is against EFL rules with the ramifications till rumbling on.

this did cross my mind over the weekend, there’s nothing to stop King moving money to an account accessible by SISU who could then move across to the club (it’s not like they’re not in cahoots anyway, in my opinion) However, I’d think that this would come with a degree of risk, for example if in the rare instance that King wasn’t approved by the EFL and the money had already been spent, I doubt Joy would want to fork out her own money to pay him back etc.

It does look like being a formality though, he’s been to the previous two games sitting alongside Fisher and Boddy, both of which I presume will be keeping their roles in the new set up.

Really needs to get signed off this week so we aren’t in limbo and rushing to get things in place once the transfer window opens.

Be quite disappointing if any new owner doesn't appoint a new senior management team tbh

Here’s hoping. As majority shareholder, surely he’d want to put his own stamp on things. It’s not as though the current regime have been a roaring success. The more traces of SISU that remain, the more I’ll think that they are still pulling the strings behind the scenes.

I meant by it being submitted for approval to the EFL. How many takeovers have they ever turned down? I merely mentioned him being in attendance to highlight the fact that he hasn’t gone missing and/or withdrawn his bid.

Didn’t see Fisher there Saturday (although he does miss the odd game)
Doug was there with what looked like his Dad and family.

Based solely on Football Manager experience, you get placed under embargo when a takeover is happening. No idea how accurate it is or whether it's a league imposed thing though

It's not going to happen until after the transfer window is it .

So will SISU sell players?

I’ve already said, it’s been tried elsewhere and is against the rules.

A transfer embargo isnt the end of the world as presumably it prevents us selling players too.
