Manager Fans Ballot (3 Viewers)

I dont think any club has ever done this, but wouldnt it be great if SISU wittled its shortlist down to say 3 or 4 managers that they have agreed terms with and are happy to appoint as manager, and then have a ballot for all season ticket holders and members to be able to have a vote in.

That way the fans would get the manager they prefer out of the available options, and if it goes wrong we cant blame SISU for appointing the wrong man, i mean i know this is completely unrealistic because SISU are c***s and no club would do this, but it would be a great idea in my opinion.... :D

I'm not really sure, There must be someone from SISU looking on the internet and seeing what the fans want, if they cared 1 bit they would strongly consider dennis

It is not a great idea because none of us have the slightest idea how any of them go about their job? How do they deal with the players? How do they deal with team matters. How do they get on with the chairman.

Each will have his own way of doing things that we will never know. Our choice would therefore be made on their TV persona.

On that basis I go for Kelly Brook.

So we have 4 managers on a shortlist and only a select few thousand can vote. Say only 20% of that take part then we have potentially only a thousand people voting and it could be 4 close to equal votes so we could appoint a manager with around 300 people wanting him! Ludicrous idea and not hard to see why clubs dont adopt it anywhere.

I feel sure someone with some involvement in the selection process will be reading forums such as this to get a feel of what some fans are saying and feed this in to the thinking - hope so anyway

No it isn't, we do not know what the managers will say in their interview, the fans wouldn't necessarily pick the right man e.g. England fans would've picked Redknapp, but Hodgson is the right man imo, it can be abused, fans/part time fans/non-cov fans could pick a joke of manager.

No need to call SISU CUNextTuesday'S, it is the owners before them, the council + ACL and Capitalism who are fucking it up for us.

And leading us to our highest finish in the Championship wasn't good enough for the mong fans.

A lot of that was down to Wise. In the 29 games before he joined, the team averaged 1.1 points per game; in the 17 games he played through the end of the season, the team averaged 1.82 points per game.

It is also worth noting that it wasn't necessarily the fans who pushed out Adams - there were a lot of rumours doing the rounds that he'd lost the dressing room.

Then surely Adams should be praised for signing Wise?! He brought him into the club and it proved to be an excellent piece of business!

At the time the majority were against the signing saying he was too old, legs had gone, he was a thug etc.

By all means. A fair thing to do. All I would say is that we'd likely throw in the Wise qualifier to any fan from another club wanting an assessment of Adams as a manager. He averaged 1.2 points per game in his first (half) campaign, 1.1 before Wise, and 1.2 after Wise. The only exceptional spurt came when we signed a top-class player (1.8 from those 17 games or so). The 8th place thing is a bit of a red herring IMO.

The majority is usually wrong.

To be fair we were a long way off the top 6 if I remember, but still, Adams made the call to sign him and it turned out well.

Couldn't agree more about the majority being wrong though!
