Hard one to call. Hamer just edges it for me because when he's on his game he is a class above most of the players in this league and he's worked really hard on reigning in his toddler instincts. Ben Sheaf has been brilliant too, he often wins the ball back when he has no right to. Vik too has been outstanding, if he converted more of his one on one chances nobody would come close.

Hamer has improved recently, but surely voting for a player that has been sent off twice and missed 25% of the games isn't the best. Has to be Vik, played practically every minute of the season so far and keeps improving.

He gets my vote partly because of that, Greggs. He seems to have matured since his poorly disciplined start to the season, however, there's no denying his ability.

Hamer's scanning and knowing what to do before it happens is immense. Sees things so quickly.

Gyokeres playing the lone striker is a joy.

Fadz , just gets better.

It's been a great last few weeks!!
Agreed. Vik came into his own own once he was playing the lone role. Robins seemed intent on the Vik / Godden front two at the start of the season, but it has never worked. Godden would be a great back up striker to Vik but the system is best with the one striker.
I remember how many howlers and penalties conceded by Fadz in our first season back in the Championship. Amazing how he keeps improving at his age.

Got to be Vik followed by McFadz.

Hamer and Sheaf have both been very good recently but didn’t really contribute first few weeks. Panzo has also come on leaps and bounds

Over past 12 games there haven’t been any passengers. All have contributed. Hope they can keep it up !

Has to be Gyokeres, but I think Bidwell is an unlucky runner up.
Was a bit shaky last season, but you could see why he's had so many appearances at previous clubs. Been brilliant this season after a consistent run of games

Heard last night it's a done deal for Gus to leave for rangers in January. Hope not.

Forget player of the season for THIS club.

VIK at the moment would be up for Championship player of the season.

Won the last Player of the month, top goalscorer too.

1) Gyökeres - Leagues top scorer, say no more

2) McFadz - A rock, hope he hurries back

3) Hamer - Since his Brum red card he has been absolutely flawless

4) Sheaf - He’s made the Big 3 the Big 4

5) Bidwell - Unsung hero, going forward he leaves a lot to be desired but defensively - Which is his primary job he hasn’t been under a 6 or a 7 all season for me, players like that are important, proper grafter

If Hamer hadn’t missed as many games by being a prat it would be a lot closer, and we may well be even higher up the table.

How much has he matured and improved because of it though. Saw him speaking and almost having a bit of a craic with the ref after ref had played on following hamer being clattered. It’s like he’s a different man (red card Boxing Day incoming 😂)

How can you rate Hamer higher than Vik?!!
He was critical to our upturn in form when he returned from the suspensions. His performances since then have been phenomenal. For that reason he just edges our Gyokeres for me.

Isn’t it great that there is an argument for maybe 4-5 players of the season so far? Remember the days when we’d struggle to pick one or have to pick one based on the lesser of all the evils! 😁

Top 3
1) Gyok
2) Sheaf
3) Fadz

if Gyok wasnt having as good a season as he is then it’d be a toss up between Sheaf and Fadz. They both for sure warrant shout outs

Vik by a country mile, but Bidwell or Sheaf for most consistent 7s every week.
