It’s really boring. Every time - “because it’s not happening”, “he’s not taking over”, yawn yawn, fucking yawn. It’s all so he can say “look at me everyone, I told you so” if it doesn’t happen. Proper weird behaviour.

Say that again without crying

Tbf, I can completely understand people’s scepticism with the takeover, frankly nothing has been smooth sailing in SISU’s tenure and this is proving no different. “Imminent” in our dictionary and SISU/Timmy’s is vastly different and has proven so on many occasions. Also although weirdly defensive sometimes, I have no reason to doubt Gimoc at the moment for small snippets as he’s been correct a couple of times before, not sure why Pete is beefing so hard, also abit strange, especially when it quite clearly has stalled.

Nothing surprises me off the pitch at city and the 85% ownership seemed a bit Sus so took it as a ploy by sisu to use as an excuse for further investment .the one person that will know what's what is Robins I think as he's invested more in the club than Sisu with sweat, time ,devotion.

I think believing the best he’s just frustrated and to be fair for years as a potential way of being right all the time with city you just had to suggest the worst and you’d be right. Then when we won promotions and played excellent football and scored winners rather than let goals in after 90 mins people had to start being clever and thoughtful and some just struggle with that. I get not everything is rosy but it’s strange to wish or suggest everything is going badly wrong without evidence. I’m sure gimoc has his sources. If would be good to know what sort they are.
I’m still very hopeful for the January window

There is evidence though, the evidence is we're missing dead lines for things happening as stated in the media.
The evidence is Robins gone from sounding convinced to not sounding convinced.

I have thought from the start it won't happen and I remained to be convinced. I'll be delighted to be proved wrong.

Pete is a bit strange full stop. It’s frustrating is my only beef. I’m in no doubt that robins could be taken in by a charlatan but think it unlikely. I think my beef is around everyone having an opinion and ignoring experts cause they know better. Fundamentally that’s it. I know I lean too heavily on experts probably because I know nothing and am dependent on others or because I doubt my own opinion even when I do have more evidence than the person I’m talking to. It’s also something that has always pissed me off. A person talking as if they know everything when they don’t and causing doubt or concern, watched thirteen lives last night and was so impressed by the Thai authorities listening to the experts and saving the lives because of it.
Gove and brexit have a lot to answer for. Shmmee said it on another thread about you can’t reason people out of a belief that they didn’t reason themselves into and he’s absolutely right, and I’m not just pointing at opinions that say everything sisu do is shit or boddy does is amateur or robins does is naive I’m saying the opposite too. That’s my beef

It’s not factual evidence it’s circumstantial evidence and depending on your prejudice you will believe a certain outcome so the naive Pete opinion will be The delay is nothing more than that. The decision is efls to make and these things take time and Christmas doesn’t help. King has been at the games, he’s made promises to robins and I’m certain ccfc sisu king and robins are as frustrated at the delay as you me and everyone else
The alternative would be sisu have screwed us for 15 years, king is a charlatan with links to the sisu ex director who has no money and only got involved to screw Ashley and try and get the arena on the cheap. Ccfc never do things by the book and are always unlucky. They’ve clearly not given the correct information to the efl on purpose and the takeover won’t be approved leaving robins having to sell yok to get wages to improve the team in January leading to a relegation battle

Well his bid for the stadium would have been to get it cheaply that’s not even a theory is it

You'll have egg on your face when Doug King's sky blues win the premier league at the Gibbet Hill Stadium...

And the Warwick uni thing is one of the most recent reasons I think many city fans are rightly sceptical in terms of the ownership/takeover.

Oh this new stadium, yeah about that

Until this takeover is announced on the website I’ll continue to believe the deal has stalled through events of the last week or so.

well it’s a fact isn’t it. It would have meant the arena went into admin and Ashley pulled out totally so the dynamics would totally change

It’s his son-in-law who is ceo or chairman, the boss basically of Fraser Group, MA not on the board anymore.
....but MA is Fraser group's largest and controlling shareholder with 69.1% stake (as of 20 September 2022), so he still has massive influence.

you’re getting so defensive in all this, it smells of desperation. If you’re right, and other are wrong, then we will all find out in due course. there is no need to keep beating your drum about it all.

We all know who your experts are, and trusting in them all the time is definitely the wrong thing to do, and you preaching their doctrine is getting annoying. Just say this is what you’ve been told and leave it at that.

who knows, it may turn out to be true one of these times ;)

Im just resigned to Cal getting a 12 month ACL, Vik leaving massively undervalue in Jan, Hamer to go back to disceplinary issues, Bidwell to play like last season, Rose to get injured, both keepers being shit, takeover not going through. ultimately I wouldnt be surprised with relegation and more than happy with none of that coming true. Fuck me depressing to be a cov fan

I was dubious about the takeover before, but now I’m hearing that Doug King may have actually been at our last two games? Takeover has to be on surely, you don’t just throw away £50 like that unless you’re deadly serious. And think of the supporter points!

he wouldn’t have had to pay £50

If we are sceptical over the takeover, then I would.imagine the EFL are also as they have to deal with any issues that may arise. I wouldnt be surprised if they are sick of seeing us, with all the issues we have had over the years.
