If we are led to believe there will be investment then I’d say the following will be leaving this month or told to find another club in may….

Dabo
Kelly
Kane
Waghorn
Godden
De costa
Walker
Moore
Wilson?
Allen?
Rose?
Mcfazdean?

I’m throwing the last four in as I’m not sure they will play much next season and robins may say I need better options if we as a club wants to move forward. They may not want to be squad players either?

hilssner tavares probably also on their way
gyokores will probably leave - not our choice and maybe hamer
so we arent left with many players

The rebuild in the summer is going to have to be bigger than anything Robins has done since the relegation from L1. Just by virtue of the sheer number of players injured, out of contract, or out of favour. I’m expecting a seriously tough year unless we get serious investment, and that doesn’t appear to be happening.

Godden is always injured, we can't afford to waste money on wages of players who miss so many games.

Seriously would you rather have Godden or Waghorn?

I’d get rid of :
Moore, Dabo, Kane, Dacosta, Kelly, Allen, Waghorn, Walker and potentially Godden if we can bring in another goalscoring forward thats younger.

I’d loan out :
Tavares (in the summer), Howley, Lusala, Dinanga, Bapaga and Rus.

Thing is you’re probably talking two out one in in terms of wages.

Could we survive with not even enough players to fill a bench before injuries? The problem isn’t recruitment or Robins. The problem is Sisu can’t afford to run a team at this level and have no idea how to make it work. Our wage bill is 60% of the minimum needed at this level.

Not if we have a proper owner coming in, if it happens

The transfer window will indicate where we are going as a club and whether we are going for a play off place or relegation fight. I thought it was shrewd of Robbins to cup tie our main assists to keep the buyers off, but of cause Everton being out as well doesn't help.

Hang on, so a game that sees Allen come on, make some nice passes, stretch their defence, link with midfield and Gyokeres, increase our tempo, offers movement Wrexham couldn't cope with is the trigger for him to be dumped by many on this thread, while Panzo gets away Scott free despite showing once again he can get bullied while being unable to head the ball?

This board does like sticking to easily won first impressions, whatever the evidence in front of them is...

Unfortunately due to lack of investment in the summer we’ve been unable to start the clear out back then.

The following need to move on starting with a load in this Jan window (presuming takeover announced):

Moore (awful)
Rose (not consistent)
Dabo (he isn’t championship quality)
Dacosta (not a footballer)
Hilsner (lol)
Kelly (great servant but can’t cut it anymore)
Waghorn (unbelievable waste of wages)
Walker (Is a lower league player)
Godden (waste of a wage due to injuries)

In the summer Panzo, Doyle and the new arsenal kid will go back to their clubs. Vik will probably get a big move to a top flight club in England or Europe. COH won’t be fit for the start of next season and is now becoming injury prone.

Massive rebuild is an understatement and this window is the start of this if that is to happen. We need 4 quality perm signings in Jan and then a load more in the summer.

On the loans maybe loan out Howley but bin the rest players like Rus have been here a while nowhere near the first team so totally pointless, in a small playing squad with no money it’s just a waste of money. Now Tavares is injured there is a space on the bench will he pick any of these names no chance.

I would add to the list people like Danny Cashman and Tom Costello a pair of ridiculous signings, we are down to two fit strikers will Robins think no problem I’ll get that Costello out of the under 23’s no he will try to bring some in or even go without so what’s the point. The person who does kick for a ticket at half time has more chance of playing than Cashman.

I don’t think we need to say whether to clear out Panzo in the summer as the loan system will do that for us.

After his recent performances, there's an argument for clearing him out now if we can find a defender who can defend...

I think we had this buy a few cheap young players and see if we can get 1 first teamer out of them policy in L1, and to be fair it worked then.

It doesn't cut it in the Championship.

If we’ve got a proper budget, I’d clear out all those out of contract plus Tavares, Allen, Godden and Moore. I don’t think we will though so keep them plus Fadz and Rose. And just hope we can add enough quality to the side be lucky enough with injuries to progress. I think we’re at least ten players off a competitive squad at this level.

It’s to big a gap as they don’t have the time to improve and space to make the mistakes.

If we get investment hopefully we can also bring better loan players in as we seem to be shopping at the lower end of the market with them, so they are less ready for the first team.

You think? Panzo was tracked for seasons, the Arsenal RWB is first team standard, Doyle was ripe for progression this season.

Not sure how we can get better really than major clubs loaning us their top prospects and bringing in a long term target.

We wanted Norton Cuffy in the summer but didn’t have the budget according to robins. And we got it by selling a CB so Doyle and Panzo who were supposed to be fighting for one spot are now mainstays. Adaramola was clearly a desperate gamble on a player not quite ready.

I also don’t think Doyle and Panzo are their clubs top prospects. Panzo was brought in as a first team player in the Championship and couldn’t break into the Forest team. Doyle was by all accounts pretty average in L1 last season and probably needs another season there as he’s only 18.

If we had budget and a bit more luck in the transfer market we’d likely have Hyam, another CB, a LWB and Cuffy Norton and look completely different at the back. I’d wager if budget was no issue we’d have another keeper as well.

Most of those wouldn't be the loanees though, the loanees are as good as we'd get, we'd just actually have more than zero defenders at the club under contract for next season.

We're pinning our hopes on a takeover by a charlatan who seems less of a charlatan than the other charlatans who've been linked with taking us over.

We're talking about getting rid of two loan players who have contributed to some of the best defensive stats in the league? You'll get inconsistency from younger players (and yesterday was unacceptable) but let's not over-react (hard for this forum I know). There are fringe players who need to move on and we'll do what we've done over the years - evolve. Just 'getting rid' doesn't work. I'd argue one of the reasons we've over-achieved Vs budget is in part due to team spirit. It's a close group. You can't just rip that up and start again.

Can't disagree with most of the 'clear out' players, but I would keep hold of Allen - as I think he would be a useful squad player, and we are not going to be able to fund a Forest style turnover of players. Rose stays for me, too. Fankaty, I'm afraid, much as I loved him, has suffered from cumulative injuries. He has lost that injection of pace that he had before, and taken away his key asset.

I'd keep Rose, he's been best of a defensive bad bunch, and could argue he's been dragged down by the positionally wayward and lightweight next to him

Rose isn't a championship defender imo, regularly poor even with Fadz next to him, often beaten in the air, miss judges loads, poor passer, he did a job for us, but now we have money to progress (assuming takeover happens), there's probably only around 3/4 players we should be looking at keeping.

We took a risk with that lad from palace, we need more seasoned pros who have been promoted the previous year but aren’t prem quality.

The thing about our recruitment team is they’ll look at young, unproven players from above like the Arsenal kid. They should look below, there are plenty of decent players in the lower leagues who would do a good job, and already play men’s football.

They cost money

I really think there are some overreactions here. Panzo and Rose have proved they can perform in the Championship and been part of a strong defence. One bad display when the whole team went into the match with a bad attitude doesn't change that. I am not his biggest fan but Allen is a good enough squad player. I still think Dabo is good enough if he can get fully fit. Doyle is certainly good enough.

Moore, Kelly and Waghorn are a different story.
