I the BCD season I used to have opposition comms on. He's was constantly picked out as of our best players.
And pretty much all agreed with it.
He's was more than decent at this level for a season and a half.

He was alright at league 1 level, but he's not championship quality.

I wouldn't be that flattered by opposition comms either, they see a player once and can't see their obvious and recurring flaws.

Dabo's attacking stats are absolutely terrible, yet that side of his game is the one a lot of our fans fell for. It's easy to watching him running down the line and get pulled into thinking he's got something useful.

He was fine at championship level for what we are/were.
And when comms from different clubs are picking him out every week that builds a story.
He's been poor recently admittedly but he was a solid enough championship player.

Of the starting eleven, only Sheaf came out with any kudos.

As for the Welsh team, I'd give MOTM for them to Simon Moore.

I'm not sure how that works, hes missed at least a third of a season since we were promoted. And always take 5-6 games to get any form back after an injury, so at most he's have 15-20 half decent games a season.

The idea of Dabo is better than the actual reality of Dabo. He was phenomenal in league one, but he just isn't built for the championship.

I actually thought Kelly ineffectual but tried and was not as bad as some made out I’d give him a 5.5.

Waghorn flatters to deceive sadly doesn’t work hard enough - what’s happened to Dabo & Moore.

awful defending against tozer long throw reminded me of England v Iceland years back we made it look impossible to defend! 🤷‍♂️🙄

I don't think it is to be honest. The fitness thing or whatever might be part of the reason, but it isn't a full of excuse. He isn't anywhere near as good as some people think he is, even with this prolonged dip in form.

Only so long a prolonged dip in form can be called prolonged before its actually just the players level

Thats where Dabo is i feel

We're a mid table side, he's been more than good enough for that level, no ones saying he's a world beater.
I agree about his physicality and it really seems to have caught up with him now

Some over inflated ratings for most.
Moore, Panzo, Rose, Dabo and Kelly should hang their heads in shame.
Waghorn and Tavares looked piss poor against non league players.
Only Sheaf and Palmer looked anything above non league level.

Palmer and Sheaf both good, Palmer has vision and unlucky today, cudda had a hat-trick. The subs too late (again) and Moore, well? No more, ever again. Thx.

Agree.

I felt for Sheaf in that first half. The only player who looked like he belonged in a team 4 levels above the opposition.

All the subs improved us, but that starting 11 was woeful, sounds like MR has lost patience with a few now.
We knew a clear out was likely at the end of this season, but that clear out can't come soon enough. Maybe selling Gyokeres is now more likely to raise the funds to bring in some much needed new faces.

Opponents get a throw on the halfway line - steal a few yards, launch towards the box and create havoc.

We get one on the halfway line and throw it towards our own keeper. Always.

If only we had the best back-to-goal front man in the division to receive launched throws. Oh. Hang on.

Motm Sheaf who got even better with Gus on ! Vik ok but should he have passed once in the box would have been 4/4

Think he could have been a solid championship player had he stayed fit, reality is the best we have ever seen from Dabo was the promotion season and he will never reach that level again. Don't think his body is built for any level of professional football anymore.

The 3's and 4's for Waghorn are ridiculous.

Why? Striker against a non league side who created no chances, had one shot straight at the keeper and played some pretty standard passes to others around him.
Ask yourself if you’re happy with him being our only option if we sell Vic and whether we will stay up with him up front or as a number 10.
Along with Kelly, today they both showed that it is a season too far for them at this level and todays level was non league.

Created no chances, apart from sheafs goal? 2 shots both on target, and was tidy in possession throughout, linking play.

Am I happy to have him being our only option if we sell Vik? No, not at all. Do I think he should be moved on? Yes I do. But was he one of our better players today, yes he was. Judging on today, he was no where near a 3 or a 4. He was one of our best players for the first 60 minutes.

Moore 3 - thought at the time he was a bit unlucky for the cross/shot that went in - saw it back and he didn't move his feet at all. His head has gone

Dabo 2 - last few games he's been our of breath and limping after 5 minutes. Needs to be gone

Rose 3 - was bullied - wouldn't give him a new contract

Panzo 3 - bullied

Bidwell 7 - out of position at times at CB but was really good on the ball and played v well second half in his proper position

Kelly 3 - needs to go. No pace and never passes forwards

Sheaf 5 - untidy today, good finish

Palmer 7 - lost the ball a few times but got nothing from the ref and on another day could've had a hattrick

Waghorn - 5 - wasn't horrific but has been a disastrous signing

Kane 7 - needs to be 2nd choice RWB ahead of the new guy

Vik 7 - thought they actually handled him fairly well but he still scored and couldn't scored more

Doyle 7

Hamer 6

Allen 6

I’ve got good mates who support QPR and Norwich and both said they felt Dabo was the best right-back they saw all season at their place in our first season back. I think he has the quality but is probably 70% where he was.

Panzo 5
Bidwell 6
Burroughs 5
Sheaf 7 motm
Kelly 5
Palmer 7
Waghorn 6
Tavares 5

Gyokeres 7
Doyle 7
Allen 6
Kane 6
Hamer 7

Pretty much spot on. Think 5 is harsh for Burroughs though, 6 maybe. Think 5 is generous for Kelly, closer to a 4.

Moore, Rose, Panzo, the three church mice. I doubt they spoke to each other once during that first half.

I am definitely not a fan of Waghorn but he was one of our better players yesterday and thats not an endorsement because it wasn't hard to be one of the better players, never rated Rose always though Hyam was much better and I didn't really rate him either but many proclaimed Rose was a better passer well I can see he is a better passer of the ball to the opposition! He was the 'experienced' centre back yesterday and he let his team mates down...Panzo needs Fadz as does Doyle to bellow instructions at them Rose doesn't do that and with Moore at the back of them it was a shit show waiting to happen!

I'm sure a club would take Moore on in Jan as a number 2 or 3 (he has some weird credit in the bank on the face of it) and then promote one of Bilson/Tyler until the summer, and use his wage elsewhere.

It could not be any worse than him playing, sadly.

Moore was good last season especially in the first half of the season, so yes someone would take him. I think a move might do him good. He needs a new start as it's not working for him here anymore. It's bizarre how bad he has become.

I know we all want to prioritise this position or that but surely getting a solid 3rd 4th choice top Prem club keeper on loan for the rest of the season is a must.

Chelsea have 8 keepers listed first team on Wiki (several also on loan like Baxter at Hull). Haven’t checked others - just Chelsea because Ady.

Signing a perm is not an option but surely there’s someone decent at Man City, Utd or whoever that needs game time at this level so wage contribution will be low.
