Positives from yesterday (6 Viewers)

It's been two and a bit weeks since the WBA home game, when all the talk afterwards was about a promotion push. It'll get better eventually.
In that time we capitulated to Swansea, got stuffed by Sheff Utd, and put out a very tired team to get two unconvincing points against Cardiff and Bristol. Then there’s the continuous issue of the squad, the takeover, then that shower of shit yesterday.
Logically, we’re not improving. We’re sliding towards a lull. Not surprising, as the senior squad is overworked and there are too many either injured or playing with injuries.
There’s only so much MR can wring out of these players, and having watched as many games as I can, there’s a definite downward trend in performance and quality. For the aforementioned reasons.

Mark my words, if we don’t recruit, we’ll be looking at a 21st place finish as a saving grace.

We had 10,000 fans more than Blackpool v Forest, and an even bigger gap to Reading v Watford (a derby) and PNE v Huddersfield - probably a lot of others too - can't be bothered to look them all up. Great turn out by CCFC fans (as well as Wrexham)

I haven’t read this whole thread but a big positive was Doyle. He came on and gave some calm to the defence. I appreciate that we were pushing Wrexham back at the time but I’d go all out to sign Doyle in the summer.

He is certainly not perfect but could be some player with the right coaching / minutes on the pitch

Injury? Suspension? Don't mind Bidwell being out for that game - move Burroughs over to cover, with Cuffy right wing back. Norwich at home is more winnable, the following week.

But if Panzo is out too though, that leaves us with a problem

Positive: with injuries and a thread bare squad we dont have to worry about the extra games a cup run would have brought.

We're going to lose whoever is picked, so may as well pick 11 of Wrexham's finest again, strap up Tavares and put him in goal

Agree - but I feel unusually positive about the Norwich home game the week after. Unless Sheaf, hamer & Vik pick up reds or injuries v Burnlehh !

Could just be my lingering frustration at being dumped out of the cup by part timers, but it’s times like these that I wonder why I still love the club so much.

The anxiety over the takeover, the onfield issues, our fragility as a club in general. Probably going to lose the players holding the team together, either in this window or the summer, unless there IS a takeover and there’s significant investment in a squad that is wafer thin and falling apart at the seams.
We, as fans, deserve better than this; we deserve concrete answers and transparency, not the usual cloak and dagger bullshit that gets dragged out until the point where nothing happens.

We deserve a team that’s capable of pushing for a spot back in the big time, where we belong.
They're non-league, but they're not part-time.

Sheaf, Hamer, Allen and Palmer are the midfield we have to play every game for the rest of the season. (Unless we sign a new AM of which we play them with Palmer instead of Allen). Doyle is the better of him and Panzo. Moore should play CB instead of Goalkeeper better with his feet and head than hands. Gyokeres is by far and away the best striker we’ve had in a long time (although we’ve known that for a while)
