Anyway, if he brings a less combative, confrontational style, that's got to be good, right? Whatever your opinion of our local council, we do need them onside and they were never going to be with Seppala, so if he can get a bit of co-operation going, stop them moving random rugby teams to the area, support us in trying to tie down our medium-long term future, then that's a start.

To be fair to Fisher, he’s left the club in a better place compared to when he joined - wasn’t he supposed to have been pivotal in bringing in Robins too?
Hmm. so where did he take us to? Bloody remember the meetings at the Ricoh? Never forgive, never forget. Good luck to king. Get SISU out of the club next.

That might be true. But in the last couple of years Waghorne has earnt his wages more. Fisher has just walked his dog around Warwickshire looking for land?. He has been on gardening leave for ages.

Well at least lots of people have become experts in football ownership. Before the last lot ruined the club and brought SISU in, nobody knew or cared about ownership as long as they backed the manager

Jimmy Hill, Richardson, McGinty, Ransom, SISU, Fisher, Sepalla, King, Storey, Ashley - makes no difference.... all cut from the same clloth. Their own ego was or would be put before the club when running it.

Nothing has changed in my book.

Is it just me, but i find it hard to believe this 'debt free' claim...we've certainly heard that before from Ransom, and that turned out to be horse shit.
Most football club owners load clubs with debt, to reduce any taxes owing...which is sensible.
Maybe King will keep the debt at one of his profitable companies to lessen the tax there, as it's super unlikely we will be making any profits ??

SISU said the club was "debt free" when they took over.

I really hope this is a new dawn now. I'd love to read more about players and football than who owns this club. Sort out the stadium stuff quickly and let's get going!

ALL HAIL THE KING, LONG LIVE THE KING!!!!

Well I bet the doubters wont shut up? Just find a new angle.

But takeover complete. I still think investment will be modest but I dont necessarilly see that as a bad thing? Live within your means and enjoy it. The Premier League is a money pit where you can bankrupt your club and still get spanked every week.

They'll always find something to be negative about.

I feel the same as you, I don't want or expect us to all of a sudden to be throwing money about. Just a little more than we have now, enough to be competitive without breaking the bank.

The next 6 months (2 transfer windows) will be the most important (since the last time) in terms of the Robins era. What happens to Gyokeres, Hamer & O'Hare, who can we keep, who can we replace, etc, etc.

This is a good day.

The way he suddenly appeared out of thin air, the ludicrous late bid to purchase the stadium, the obvious and easily found past links between himself and SISU or at least SISU employees, tbh I think ’as is normal’ with SISU it all leave‘s us with more questions than answers.

The last 2 or 3 years aside, SISU’s time at this club has been overall frustrating, tedious, hopeless, embarrassing, confusing etc, for the most part I’ve hated it & dreamt how fantastic it would be when they eventually leAve, what a party for all Coventry fans that day would be.

But i don’t feel like partying at all, It doesn’t feel to me as though SISU have gone, more like they’ve just played their latest hand in a never ending game.

Think our best hope is that it’s still SISU but it’s SISU with some limited investment and the ability to keep the wolf from the door for a bit longer.
That’s the best hope wow bloody hell

I still don't understand SISU retaining 15%?
However I look forward to promises kept by King, and I'm sure MR's is also.
Let's see if his cheque book speaks volumes and take it from there.

For the record, I think he will be a short term owner, possibly cashing in on promotion or good staus in the championship, and then selling out to the obvious lurking presence of Ashley.

This CCFC, there will be more shenanigans before we are finished.

Fantastic news - let’s get a couple of good signings sorted in Jan window and push for the play-offs. This is probably the most open the Championship has been so we have every chance.
Feels good to be debt-free and suddenly we can be a buying club rather than a selling club for a change!
Hail the King - Long live the King!!

I hoping that in the short term MR doesn’t have to endure stupid “fire sales” like Hyam and has some financial stability within the club. For once in his life here MR might be able to fully concentrate on developing the playing side of the club.
As for Fisher - glad see him resign. He had to be instrumental in relocating us to Northampton & administration, which lost us the cheap 50per cent option to buy into the stadium

Well it's still unclear what King has bought 85% of, and what if anything he's paid for the privilege
