Couldn't agree more, we need a slightly younger than Fadz replacement for Fadz. Plenty of people have mentioned names but I don't see us being linked to that type of defender unfortunately. Personally I'd like to see us go for Charlie Goode from Brentford or Shane Duffy from FulhamI know it's only a rumour but I can't help but think we need an "old head" in there if we are playing a very young back 5.
That’s one where you could actually get some luck looking at cast offs from other Championship sidesI know it's only a rumour but I can't help but think we need an "old head" in there if we are playing a very young back 5.

Longer term, I thought that Kipre from Cardiff/West Brom looked a similar type of player to Fadz. Looked very good against us I thought.I know it's only a rumour but I can't help but think we need an "old head" in there if we are playing a very young back 5.
Feel this will be another classic case of big wages into his 30’sMate whos close to Patersons family claims hes coming here, 1.5 year deal
We all thought that before though, but would take him on that length of contract while Cals injured

At least he won’t have a blinder against us for onceFeel this will be another classic case of big wages into his 30’s
poor signing imo
Lol did you just Google where Richard Duffy was now?Surely that's a typo? Obviously you mean Richard Duffy from Congleton Town.
Very true mateAt least he won’t have a blinder against us for once
Also, as we've now got 2 loanees from Citeh, isn't there a limit on how many any club can loan from one parent club ?
Mostly that we aren’t very good at the backVery true mate
has been good against us, think that’s more than a coincidence though

That being said… a certain Michael MacIndoe used to run the show against us and that turned out greatVery true mate

I commented about him to my Cardiff supporting family and they said he’s really good on the ball. Looked solid against us.He would be my choice. Looked a good footballer. Read game well has good pace, not always trying to look pretty just does what has to be done. Which is what defending is about. Right age at 26 and has a fair few games under his belt.
2 years into a 4 year contract at WBA I believe.
Robins has two in mind - he’ll get themReckon our final loan will be a striker. Now we’ve got a LWB I can see Bidwell filling in until Fadz is back at the end of Feb.
The more I think about it the less I think we’ll make permanent signings this window unless something pops up. New owner, new recruitment team, massive changes in the summer. Makes sense to give the recruitment team time to find players on whatever the new budget is.
Than no one at all?? Wobbles headFeel this will be another classic case of big wages into his 30’s

Looking at Saturdays performance we need a centre-half who can head a ball.
Waghorn Kane Moore all clogging up the wage bill, all ‘senior pros’Than no one at all?? Wobbles head
Considering his appalling stats, I'm not sure how he could be. You need more from an attacking full back than just a run down the line. At a higher level it is shown up even more.
He’d be a stop gap, I’d rather us try and unearth a gem from a prem team or the lower leagues, not someone who’s flattered to deceive at this level for numerous yearsThan no one at all?? Wobbles head

He was one of swanseas best players last seasonHe’d be a stop gap, I’d rather us try and unearth a gem from a prem team or the lower leagues, not someone who’s flattered to deceive at this level for numerous years
That’s true but if there’s no choice currently it’s palmerWaghorn Kane Moore all clogging up the wage bill, all ‘senior pros’
would rather us buy a sellable asset
True but don’t knock a stop gapHe’d be a stop gap, I’d rather us try and unearth a gem from a prem team or the lower leagues, not someone who’s flattered to deceive at this level for numerous years
Yeah if he comes in and does a job for a year and a half I’ll be more than happyTrue but don’t knock a stop gap
One thing Dabo does very well is stretches the game out and draws the full back wide to create space on the inside channel, it's not all about direct assists but how a player helps create the conditions for others to get into good positions.
Correct. That's exactly his role. In our system the wingbacks aren't supposed to be the main creators.
Quoting myself because I'm so self absorbed... But sounds like Delap will be recalled. Hope Doyle's progression could put us in with a chance of getting him.Was just reading Alan Nixon saying about the amount of teams recalling players from loans that haven't worked out. I wonder with Doyle doing well and Wilson-Esbrand joining whether we might stand a chance of snatching Liam Delap from Stoke. Rory Delap has just left Stoke due a restructure.
