Is the longest serving manager in the Championship, 5 years and 10 months. That’s about how long Alex Ferguson was in charge before Utd really started to get into gear and winning things.
Let’s hope MR can emulate his old boss, we already have ‘ Robins time’ most games.

I just hope MR gets the same kind of financial backing that Fergy got.

Somehow I doubt it!

I can see it now...

Tavares to be our Solskjaer and play thr super sub role and score the injury time winner off the bench.

Captain Fadz to lift the trophy aged 47.

Forum bedwetters to claim that despite the champions league win and 4th place finish in the league we are dead certs for relegation next season.

There have been twelve managerial changes in the championship this season bloody ridiculous. Robins has been allowed the time to have continuity and build a club in the way it used to be, we all get impatient but it has to be better than just bringing in new brooms for a year or so.

MR does a damn good job with the budget he is given, we also play a nice brand of football as a rule . He’s been a good man to have for our tight fisted owners.
Only criticisms for me are his inability to utilise subs quicker and his disregard for the cup competitions which I think he sees as a distraction.

I hated it when we had all those managers coming if for a year or sometimes less. A team full of loanees and short term contracts. I felt really disconnected from the club and players. Having stability with manager and players gives you a club to enjoy even when results aren't perfect. Long live Robins!

Will be interesting to see how we respond to poor results going forward however. Fisher was always relatively loyal to managers.

Id hope King is relatively level headed and would only act if we’re looking like going down, which despite the cries on here we haven’t been ever under his leadership.
