Wilson - 3 - shocking for 1st, 2nd and 4th goals. If he starts next season as our number 1 I won’t be bothering.

Dabo - 5 - looked miles off it in patches, brighter in other patches, and completely hung out to dry by BNC.

Rose - 5 - spatial awareness really poor today, massive gaps for Pukki to run either side of him. Also, why is he sliding in trying to win the ball for the 2nd? Left us hugely exposed.

Doyle - 5 - given the runaround by Pukki.

Bidwell - 6 - don’t remember him doing an awful lot right or wrong, so for that reason he probably gets away with it.

BNC - 3 - you had Rotherham fans suggesting he could be a future England international. Based on that performance alone he wouldn’t get in the starting 11 of a Sunday league side. Absolutely all over the place.

Sheaf - 5 - completely lacklustre. Seems to have gone off the boil the last few weeks. Although in part I thought his lack of pressure on the ball was because of…

Hamer - 4 - nowhere today. Looked like he was playing either pissed or injured. Genuinely don’t know which I’d rather.

Allen - 6 - scored a goal, hassled a bit. Still far from keen.

Palmer - 4 - now I’m a massive fan of him generally, but today I thought he displayed every trait that has been levelled against him. By and large, his decision making was abysmal, trying things that were never on. Lack of tracking back was dreadful and, whilst I can understand that he’s generally a 60-70 minute player, you can’t down tools like he did in the 2nd half.

Gyokeres - 5 - battled hard, won his fair share of duels, but isolated. If we’re going to play a lone striker, we need players to run past him and into the box.

Subs

Burroughs - 5 - looked tentative. Rough game to get thrown into but didn’t exactly stem the tide.

Panzo - 5 - going through a lean patch at the moment which we really can’t afford. Tried to be progressive but wasn’t coming off.

JWE - 4 - may seem harsh but he clearly isn’t an attacking midfielder. Poor set pieces.

Robins - 2 - don’t usually give a manager rating but cannot look past that system. I’d be amazed if anyone could work out what we were playing today. Clearly half the players didn’t have a clue. Absolute mess. I get that options are limited at the moment but define a plan and work to it, rather than puking names onto a team sheet.

That's a very good summary and I agree with most of it. The only thing I would say is that some are giving Dabo a bit of a pass because BNC was so shit and hung him out to dry. That might have had some influence, but he was absolutely fucking terrible on his own anyway. That right hand side concerns me massively.

Great summary pretty much how I saw it.

One thing I’ll quickly add to the Palmer summary: the situation towards the end of the 1st half when the gap opened up for him to shoot as Vik ran round the outside, only for Palmer to try the pass to Vik. THAT WAS THE DECOY RUN!!!

And it was a terrible pass. I've seen a load of people on twitter give Palmer and Norton-Cuffy MOTM.

There was that one time in the first half, BNC had it and just had to slip Gyokeres through but tried to take his man on and lost it. Terrible. Gyokeres right ripped him a new one.

Palmer probably was MOTM given he scored one and made one.

He was far from perfect and made mistakes, but probably the best of a bad bunch for me.

I honestly thought the bad hugely outweighed the good. He was a passenger in the 2nd half.

Yeah he was but I thought the whole team were to be honest, seemed a real lack of urgency throughout the second half.

That's a Sky Sports way of looking at it. Great finish, decent cross which Bidwell superbly nodded down to Allen for the opener, but he was poor for the rest of the game and completely anonymous second half.

Who was better? The whole team were poor. He made one and scored one. More of a contribution than anyone else made.

How many goals shipped now? Piss poor at the back with a crap keeper and no Fadz..Lightweight midfield and indeed, no support for Vik.

All round poor performance seemed men against boys at times only plus is we got it back to 2-3 and for a while looked like we could draw level but second half particularly Norwich could have scored three or four more. As for our man-of-the match I’d say Gyokeres because he puts himself about, challenges the CBs who know they’ve been in a game but he’s on his own MRs got to look hard at that.

The players seem to be playing with no worry of being replaced, they can be poor and still picked as we are low in quality numbers (big difference to numbers).

We have players in the under 23’s that are older than the players we are loaning in so why are we keeping them.

so he was our best player in your opinion - how did he make one? Was it an assist I honestly don’t get what this make a goal comes from.

Well you didn't think he scored one either so I'm not surprised you don't understand.

It was Bidwells assist. The cross was pretty poor one, Bidwell had to backtrack to get on the end of it and did really well to get it back across to Allen.

why stick a thumb up? You said he created Allen’s goal? Now you admit he didn’t?

Hamer created Palmer's goal then, as he played Norton-Cuffy down the line.

Well yeah he played a key part in the goal. Just as Palmer played a key part in Allen's goal.

It's really not a difficult concept.

i assume whoever played palmer in for his rather cross also helped to create the goal?

Dabo created Allen's goal, it was all due to his throw in.

I've already Said, great goal. But for 85 minutes he was poor, for an entired 45 mins in the second half he was anonymous.

Imagine getting so wound up because a player you hate scored a goal 🤣

no one hates anyone — but the claim he was a constant threat (he wasn’t) and created a goal ( he didn’t) when most on here acknowledge he was very poor is very strange isn’t it?
