Too many emotional flakes.
Blatantly a couple of knob heads wired incorrectly.
Mentalists... just freaking out with minimal reason.

Forgetting you lot... We weren't great.

Wilson - 6: Distribution has improved a lot, still not where it needs to be but he’s clearly working on it. At fault for the second though

Dabo - 3: A liability at the back, positioning was all over the place.
Rose - 5: Was OK but part of a back line that conceded three in twenty minutes.
Doyle - 5: As above. So bad in the air for a guy of his size, makes some great blocks and recoveries but also the odd howler.

Norton-Cuffy 5: OK in flashes but seems to think he has more pace than he does and tries too much in his own half. Some awful decision making as well.
Hamer - 6: We got significantly worse when he went off and he still wasn’t great. Struggles when the rest of the team is poor.
Sheaf - 6: Not his best game again.
Bidwell - 7: Didn’t do too much wrong.
Palmer - 6: Started OK and faded, got a goal (apparently) and needs players on his wavelength who want to run onto balls and not come short more often. Also needs to get in the box more in that role rather than always trying to arrive late.
Allen - 6: Good first half, actually tackled someone. Flukey goal from a mishit shot and terrible attempt second half but at least he’s there.
Gyokeres - 6: Pass the fucking ball Vik.

Burroughs - 6: Better defensively than Cuffy but like most of the team second half was mostly chasing shadows.
Panzo - 6: Looked alright and brought the ball out well but game was lost by then.
Man City bloke whose name I still haven’t learned - 6: Not sure what position he was playing and didn’t do too much of note.

Another performance where we looked like a team cobbled together with league one players and kids. Which is what we are right now.

Does nobody accept that Norwich were much the better side, although their defence is not good enough for the EPL

They were. They moved well, attacked in numbers and passed the ball to each other. All things we failed to do. Doesn’t stop us also being crap though.

Wilson Esbrand

Your current boo boys.

Hmm.
Let’s not do this - I disagree with him on many things not least palmer generally and Dabos performance (ironically the other way round to what you’re suggesting) but to try and make out that it’s because theyre black is desperate and, more importantly, degrades and discredits discussion about some of the very real and very apparent actual undercurrents of racism that need addressing In football.

Pathetic

Wilson - Should’ve done better for a couple of their goals, particularly the one he got a hand on. Feel like the performance summed him up perfectly though, saved one he shouldn’t have from Pukki 1v1 and some questionable distribution, but on the whole not a championship keeper.

Dabo - Looks a shell of the player he was, no idea if he is carrying a knock or is devoid of confidence or just fucked. I don’t think he was let down by BNC as much as is being said, I think he just looks on his heels and like he can’t read the game fast enough in defence.

Rose and Doyle - Pukki is probably the savviest striker in the league and he showed them both up today/yesterday. Rose looks limited and Doyle is inexperienced, sane movement from Pukki killed them all afternoon.

Bidwell - looks a stable and unremarkable mid table championship player. Makes an odd mistake, largely reliable but today he was bullied at the corner by Hanley and hung out to dry in defence.

BNC - Looked ok at times, feel like he was asked to do too much in the system today. A new loanee shouldn’t be expected to play in a fluid role like he was today, given he is trying to settle in. He was expected to play as an attacking midfielder when we had the ball and a RB/RWB when we didn’t. Dabo kept tucking in before he had got back and leaving a ton of space for them as he was tracking.

Hamer/Sheaf - Didn’t have time on the ball and at times looked like they had no outlet for it when they did. We really miss Ohare dropping into pockets of space for them.

Allen - Usual tenacious self, gets a hard time from fans but he does a huge amount of work and is likely to finish the season with 10 goals from midfield. Not sure what else he can do?

Palmer - Frustrating. Took his goal well and looks technically brilliant at times, but doesn’t seem to know when to hold the ball, when to try a penetrative pass/flick etc.

Gyokeres - Hard working and dangerous, got no support from the referee and even less from his team mates. Wish he would pass the ball more when he has the option, but honestly, he has the option so infrequently I don’t blame him for always going alone.

Subs - Made slightly too late, we needed them before the 4th. Not sure that any of them could say they changed the game or had involvement once Norwich shut up shop.

MR - Gambled and lost by sticking with the same system. Panzo should’ve started instead of Dabo and gone with our traditional system. Didn’t make a change early enough in the 2nd half when we were chasing.

King - We are desperate for some permanent signings. We need fresh legs and we will need some stability before we go into the summer.

You make some good points, but Allen to get 10 goals this season? If that happens I'll take you to Disneyworld Florida for a holiday, and you have my word. Absolutely mental prediction.

He is on 4 just over half the season gone.
It might not happen because we know he isn’t the best finisher, but I wouldn’t right it off completely.

A reason to hope he doesn't, that

It's unlikely he'll get 10, but it wouldn't need a huge step up from now. He is half way there!

Five goals, four in the league.

Lets just say we were beaten by a team more hungry and to be honest much better than us, our midfield was playing catch up although at one point we were on top in the first half and they were a little shell shocked but still kept producing chances, Dabo was having a night out with the boys or day dreaming or whatever he was up to, Rose just isn't good enough Doyle is a young kid and Bidwell was struggling to cope although he didn't play bad on the left, our midfield were largely outclassed and even more largely giving the ball away at almost every available opportunity, Vik was yet again battling away up front with little to no support. Robins needs to have words with Doug to urgently get some support for Viktor because I would imagine the guy is feeling a tad pissed at all the effort he puts in coming to no end, we cannot keep having kid loans we need better than that to progress also desperately need someone in central defence who can dominate the players who keep dominating our weak defence...Back to the drawing board Mark..

not sure what hmm means - never mentioned wilson Esbrand once my comment on Dabo today was he did largely ok

Sorry veiled comments about the fact they are black is out of order
Considering in the past you've made veiled comments about why I dislike Priti Patel and Suella Braverman I don't think you're one to talk.

There was a clear difference in ability between the 2 sides but Cov lacked
- Leadership especially in defence didn't see much encouragement between the players
- alertness team seemed asleep in the first 20 mins especially Hamer
- confidence - seems low

Gyokeres 7? You’re mad.

You're judging his performance against the exceptional standard he sets week in week out.
Regardless, he was still head and shoulders above anyone else in sky blue.
I see that he impressed several on the Norwich forum.

This is a bad take, a wrong opinion. He's a brilliant player who offers a lot. Sure he isn't totally consistent but none of our players are, including GYo, Hamer and Sheaf and O'Hare, they all come in and out of games. Palmer is as good as those guys and a great signing. I think he'll continue to improve

He is a brilliant player? As good as Gyokeres Hamer and o hare

Well as he was paid off by his former club who couldn’t wait to get rid we could make a real profit if you are correct

£15 million do you think?

His post has suddenly gone missing. Has he sold it to Burnley for £10 million?

From what I have seen I think he’s in that category. Maybe he’ll fall away but I think he’s a great signing who is settling in and adding a lot to the team in O’Hare’s absence. I doubt any of our players will fetch £15m
