Godden, Walker and Eccles all expected in full training this week apparently. Fadz a few days behind so probably not for the Huddersfield game.

Who would you put straight back in, if any?

None would likely make much of an impact given their lack of fitness/match sharpness.

As bad as our form currently is, I'd give them another 2-3 weeks to get back into the swing of things personally.

Godden's sharpness and touch seemed to have deserted him even before the injury. I'd be (pleasantly) surprised if he could make much of a contribution in the next couple of weeks. Bring him on late if needed I guess.

I'd have Fadz on the bench and 'warming up' behind our goal the whole time, screaming at the defense. Or at least disguised as a ball boy.

I know it's a joke, the referee wouldn't allow it.

back in the early 80s Snoz used to do that under Gordon milne's management

Regardless of signings, I think Panzo has to come back in and we go 5 at the back

4 worked as emergency at Burnley but after Saturday's horror show we have to change it

Burroughs---Rose---Doyle---Panzo---Bidwell please
i think it was the 2nd goal, where we just had nobody on the right, the whole side with no defenders

Panzo really isn't great though is he - not Championship standard

Times have changed, the fussy referees wouldn't allow it.

So you think he is worse than Waghorn and Kane? You were concerned we let them go, so presumably think are good Championship players?

I find it strange Panzo didn't play on Saturday as he is our fastest defender. I like Doyle but Pukki destroyed him and Rose for pace. I think for this match at least Panzo would have been a better option.

Begs the question, why didn't Mark Robins see that.

Waghorn has a career that has championship standard branded on it. Panzo has terrible ball watching qualities - not seeing anything there to be honest

I’m certainly not yet seeing any merit in dumping Kane at all

Panzo's certainly not been on it for a while, got to hope a game or two out brings him back refreshed.

he’s just not going to be good enough - certainly not in our formation and team - just poor

I really dont know yet tbh, had a couple of terrific games, but seems to get bullied far too easily, and can't head a ball, which is pretty fundamental for a centre back! Couple that with Doyle being positionally suspect and they really struggle next to each other.

Did have an interesting little bit of interchanging with Bidwell, which makes me think LWB may be his true position in time.

Panzo has allowed attackers and midfield players to run in behind him all season, even when McFadz was there. He has cost us a couple of goals at least and got away with alot more. His pace can get him out of trouble but it is still bad defending.

His strength is bringing the ball out but opponents are starting to sus that and are closing him down.

I do wonder as a wing back would be be ok but in a back 3 he’s hopeless

I know Waghorn has his fans on here who think he can do no wrong but I find this viewpoint astonishing.

I don't think Pukki destroyed them for pace, it was clever movement that did it.

And not just from Pukki, they were dragging the whole defence all over the place and they didn't know how to cope.

But yeah Doyle did have a particularly torrid time of it against Pukki.

It was clever movement indeed but also pace I thought. Panzo us a bit inconsistent but I think he should have been playing.

But clearly if we still had Waghorn we would have won anyway!

To be fair you and PVA are a meeting of minds both sportingly and politically

Jim Kerr named a band after the pair of you
