Yeah, loanees will be in the squad that finish the season though?
Great! (They’re all leaving shortly after though)

Don’t forget that list of players who have improved this season btw

Need a hand moving those goalposts?
It isn’t moving the goalposts - a squad that finishes the season full of players that deteriorated, buggered off or got injured, backed up by a bunch of loanees who turn back into pumpkins at midnight can’t be said to be in better shape than it was at the start of the season.

There are also a lot of players out of contract, we also might sell Gyo Hamer and Ohare in the summer.

I am just going off the squad that started the season and the one that will end the season, which is what you said.

I’m glad you think Robins and co have done such a good job improving the squad this year! I don’t share your enthusiasm.

The problems have been because of two major long term injuries more than anything. We showed enough when both were fit to suggest we’d finish higher than before.

We will probably have to move them - or make them bigger - if Maguire is going to score any

Rose, Wilson, Bidwell, Vik

Personal opinion but I dont think Rose or Vik have improved. Vik's value has improved because he is doing what he did last season again. I don't think he has improved any of his attributes or qualities though. Rose.... well, just no.

Well no, I am saying he will be ending the season the same as he started it.

That's the comparison.
Didn’t realise he started the season with a long-term, potentially career-threatening injury but I guess I’m not going to change your mind.

He was out for pretty much 3 months.

By the time the season ends it's likely to be about the same isn't it?

The recruitment has been a massive concern for a while, but right now it feels like it is hitting even more of a low.

I made a joke earlier about signing Dan Agyei and Andre Wright, but this transfer window smacks of the same sort of desperation.

I really hope this summer they can stock the squad full of decent players, it is a massive watershed time I would say.

I could be wrong but isn’t he on to score more goals?

Yeah Rose has been worse than last season. Probably as he's been on the pitch more. He was better on the bench

Nonsense

You don’t think hes improved? He’s still dog shit but at least he’s slightly shinier dog shit.
Maybe, but I don’t see how Ben Wilson’s Dogshit Odyssey is going to help justify the claim that the squad is in better shape now than it was in July.

You asked who had improved. Wilson has improved.

No you said end of the season.

Compare them both.

Stacking the squad with loanees is all well and good, but it won’t do us much good going forward.

Which squad members do you think have really kicked on and improved this year?

Unless it's a temporary measure before a summer rebuild. None of us know whether that's the case or not, hopefully it is, we'll see.
