Kasey Palmer is a footballing magician!
Oh I saw it. But it's up there with the Kenny Jackett shout from a certain someone else.
To be fair his arguments do make for some good reading sometimesGrendel has well thought out ideas that provoke lively debate amongst the cerebrally elite on this site, and is genuinely a breath of fresh air that lightens everybody's day. Long live Grendel !
( Just a bit of fun mate )
Jordan Clarke wasn't actually that bad.
Dennis Wise should have been sent off 30 seconds into his debut. Literally straight from kick off went through Seth Johnson.Dennis Wise’s form for us was a total aberration and his reputation as a club hero is ridiculous.
Kastaneer was a good signing.
Dhillons beer is all disgusting and the casino is a miles better option.
They're all popular opinions mateI've got stacks here.
1. Shouting "Get the ball forward" as we look to recycle possession should result in you being escorted out of the stadium and/or shot.
2. If our players could do everything that was expected of them by our fans, they wouldn't be playing for us. I.e. O'hare can't finish, if he could we would never have got him or he would've been sold, if Vik made better decisions he would've gone already.
So stop expecting them to be perfect and berating them for their weak points.
3. Booing a player is such childish pantomime behaviour, it achieves nothing and should result in you being escorted out of the stadium and/or shot.
4. I don't actually mind Aston Villa, but Leicester. Leicester can fuck off.
5. Cyrus Christie deserves more praise from our fan base when we discuss academy players.
6. We shouldn't slate our recruitment team for low cost, high upside players that flop in the way that some do.
7. Our kits for a long time (from 2003) we're god awful, until Hummel took back over. The relationship with them has done wonders for our commercial revenue, club recognition and club identity. We should be doing everything we can to stay partnered with them.
The 2001/2 orange spider Web goalkeeping strip, the 1998 away strip and 1992 home strips are the best we've ever produced by a long way.
Was being sold anyway by chairman Bryan Richardson to Blackburn, Dion chose Villa.Dion Dublin is one of Cov’s greatest players………..despite refusing to play for us and signing for the Villa.
Robins thrives off working with a shoestring budget and would struggle if he got given a war chest
Mo Konjic was shit.
Pleased I'm not the only one who thinks this. Byatt's on Lythalls Lane is immeasurably better.Dhillons beer is all disgusting and the casino is a miles better option.
Remember in the Sixfields season and Pressley began playing him up frontJordan Clarke wasn't actually that bad.
"...and I took that personally." Growing up as a cov fan, he was a cult hero of mine for the playing with broken bones, and yes, the song - I guess the threshold was low then! I remember him fondly as a tough tackling leader who'd give his all to the cause, and would go on the odd glorious (if ineffective) run to bring the ball out of defence on the frequent occasions we failed to create anything going forwards. Was he actually that good? Dunno, but I'm reaching for the rose tinted nostalgia specs than the clarity of hindsight.Wouldn't go quite as far as shit but he definitely wasn't particularly good & massively overrated due to his silly song & kamikaze runs which always came to nothing anyway.
Is that unpopular?Stern John was one of our best players since relegation from the Premier League.
Another for we wouldn't have been promoted from L1 if we were at the CBS
Robins built a massive siege mentality, us against the world for players and fans and that was a huge part of how we got up
Well, opinions may have softened since with the benefit of hindsight, but he was routinely abused by our own supporters during his time here.Is that unpopular?
