Still makes me laugh that they complained Block 14 was overcrowded thought that closing a block was the best way of stopping it.

The solution was simple. Make Singers Corner ST only from Block 13 to 15. Add your metal fence or whatever and continue with changing the season ticket cards. Get it filled every week.

If our SAG has carried out proper research that shows that they have a better way of crowd management than (pretty much) every other club in the country, then I’m sure we’d all be interested to see it.

Presumably, all those other clubs that don’t currently see a need to keep massive empty spaces between fans will then all fall in line and mend their ways.

If mark does say that I will repeat my question as to whether ccfc had to follow the advice and what the reason was for making it

I think this is the point that needs to be justified by the SAG. People like to think that restrictions on their freedom to decide where to sit is based on logical conclusions supported by evidence. What we are currently seeing is CCFC adopting methodologies that don't seem to be applied at other large sporting stadiums.

That needs sorting can’t do a lot when the sun is high but once it reflects through the glass window it blinds you, the windows need blacking out.

But why can’t the away fans be given the North Stand? - let them shield their eyes from the sun and clap at the same time.
Then the whole of the south stand becomes the home end. With the sun at our backs it’d be awesome…..and none of this segregation bollox - sorted.

I have not read all seven pages of this so I may have missed the point I am about to make. If so apologies. According to the councils own document the safety at sports ground policy (below extract taken from the council website today)should be
“reviewed at intervals not exceeding 12 months and amended at any stage to reflect any changes that may occur in operation procedure or to current legislation. Following any amendment a complete replacement will be distributed.”

Date of last review – November 2021
Reviewed by – Nicola Castledine

last time I checked, November 2021 was over 12 months ago. If the policy has been reviewed and not changed I would still expect the last review date to have been updated accordingly.
Maybe the council reviewed it in camera and decided not to let the general public know the outcome

I'm in block 15 and although standing on the stairs was a problem, I've never once seen anyone asked to move by stewards or police, the solution to the standing in the stairs was getting more stewards in, who stand on the stairs. It seems to me and quite a few others, that the people on this safety group, don't really have a clue and are slowly phasing in more draconian measures, when in reality, proper policing and proper stewarding would solve most issues.

Behaviour in block 14 isn’t good enough. It’s only a few unfortunately but that’s all it takes. I think home fans should have up to block 11 but while have people standing facing away fans do ing their hand gestures it won’t happen.

Good idea and can’t disagree with the principal of that would mean a bit of a re-hash of the car park for away coaches though but not impossible but then of course it would put up to 4000 away fans very close to the casino and the entrance to the posh seats so can’t see it ever happening.

Likewise I'd sometimes go in Block X of the Sky Blue Stand (aka North / M&B) and it was a couple of stairwell widths between you and the away following. This SAG are a bunch of jumped up clowns

If the behaviour isn't good enough deal with the culprits.
I actually don't think moving away fans to the North stand is a bad idea and it's definitely doable.

Even if they did move the segregation would then just be in the corner at the other end and those in Singers Corner would migrate next to them again.

Like you, my instinct would be to be more demanding and ask these sort of questions. I also know that if I did I'd be ignored and would not be invited to take part. They don't have to tell me anything even if I do supposedly represent a certain part of the fanbase. They'd replace me with someone who wasn't so confrontational. Someone like Pete.

you talked about FoI requests, so put them in yourself. Go to these meetings in place of Pete and see how far you get.

This season I have gone back to ST(Sisu shenannigans stopped me for a while ) previously stood many times in 14 and 15 found no problems.All ages singing and having a good time.The overcrowding issuse enough stewards to deal with that surely.This insain gap between them and away support is stupid.I have not seen anywhere a statement from club or SAG as to why it is needed to me the more people in that area the better the atmosphere will be .Sky Blue Pete could you please find out why this gap?
