They've fucked it

No one wants it so it's basically just the already available by time of broadcast highlights

Cancelling MOD will save taxpayer money - who watches it anyway

The BBC and Tories have absolutely fucked it.

They're so tone deaf to the mood of the nation.

Do you think we should close the BBC? 😂

I suppose you were as vocal as this when Clarkson was getting in trouble?

I agree we should privatise it and allow freedom of speech to the owner of the corporation - no complaints from me

Clarkson kept his job at the bbc after controversial comments.
As did Andrew Neil, as did Alan Sugar.
It's nothing to do with free speech.
It's to do with having different standards depending on the political hue of the comments.

I don’t think any of them compared anyone to Nazi germany

How about it gets rid of a Chair who supports and funds the Tory party? How can it be impartial with him in charge?

I think we should close it and hopefully this is the beginning of that debate

Yes, and the different standards usually go in favour of people like Linekar. This time it isn't and therefore it is causing outrage.

That's the point, hypocrisy everywhere. I barely see anyone who is defending Linekar having spoken up when other people with different political opinions were getting in trouble.

Hasn’t the BBC chairman donated to the Tories in the past?

It’s always been political - Blair was fuming when he couldn’t install Dyke after his labour membership came to light

Lineker didn't.
But I'd say that advocating people were shot in front of their families was worse.
But if you think that should be let go, (which it was), then fine, but let everything go.

Anyway just looking now - prime time for the tax payer funded BBC1 and we have a repeat of Death in Paradise - money well spent

I have. But I still don't accept its cancel culture, its made up bollocks as far as I'm concerned.

People going round the world talking to thousands and making millions talking about how they've been cancelled!
