Tv money alone means the bottom team leaves with about £100 million(tv rights£84mill+ merit money. and extra advertising and gate receipts)payments up from around £8mill. in the championship . According to Deloitte's.Parachute payments worth £75 mill.
Sure we could hack some of that .IF

Think he's referring to the money for the play off semis and final, not the EPL money for the ultimate winner.

Not going to do the predictor but what an exciting time to be a Cov fan, again!

Being this close it will be disappointing if we miss out, and there’s LOTS of ‘if only’ moments to reflect on, coupled with injuries and off pitch stuff.

But either way it’s a good end to the season, a long long way from the MR Out narrative that began to surface a few weeks into the season.

I would like a scenario where going into the last game at Boro that they would definitely be 3rd no matter what and therefore rest players for the play offs. We beat them to clinch 6th place and then play them another 2 times!
Thought about this - we might win, but their second string will be told to kick the sh*t out of Hamer, Vik. et al so that they are either injured or suspended for retaliation in time for the play off against them!.

I'll be honest - M'boro game aside (which is hopefully a dead rubber for them) the next 2 games are the toughest, and I'd take 3 points from them now (unless we beat Stoke!)

The Stoke game is Norwich in disguise for me. I hope not, but our lads proved that we are better than that game anyway. Plus, Norwich have not exactly sett the place alight since.

Got us 7th on 72pts....strange as a few others here have us on 72pts but different positions? Presume they guessed the other games rather than letting the computer calc those.

I think it'll be a close one, March was certainly an easier group of games for us to rack up the points. If we perform against Stoke, and maintain the current form we're in, we're in a good position. For me, I get us obtaining 18/24 points available and finishing 6th, but I'm ever the optimist.

I'm hoping for no more losses. Draws against Watford Blackburn and Boro'.

Shameless plug for my new blog - stopped doing this years ago, but given some new found spare time, I'm looking to start it up again.

Either way, given the hiccups, if you'd offered me top half at the start of the season, I'd have snapped your arm off! We should know by now we never do things easily :)

I fancy our chances against the teams currently in there more than I do against the teams fighting to get in around us, funnily enough.

I fear Norwich the most because of our awful modern record against them and that I believe them to have a much better squad than their position. That said, defensively they were rocking in the game at the CBS and had we had McFadz fit perhaps the outcome would have been entirely different.

I ended up with this
First of all I think you are a braver man than me and like me have plenty of time spare to attempt that.I see you think Sheff. Utd.will only drop 7 points .Their next two away games are at Norwich and Burnley have to be pretty faultless if they lose those two.I also think Norwich will do very well if they get fifteen points from their remaining games. All in all a great attempt by you and is think were in for some interesting sets of games between now and the end of the season

Bugsy herculean effort could you just swap us and Norwich with their 7 wins and a draw.
Then i can dream make the draw against Middlesboro so going into the last home game we push the Bluenoses into the coner. A FULL HOUSE netting got to go ,security won't need so many just 1 line between the 2 groups.Us going for our 8th win on the bounce unbeaten since way back when.Vic level with Akpom and that game to come .
Right dreaming over IMO 72 points and sweating.
PS could you let Rotherham play their last home game they need the money.Ifthey won it they would pass Reading as well little bit more for higher position.

Got 8th being super pessimistic for our results and letting the computer do the rest.

Was deffo a bit sky-blue tinted glasses with my scores but it's not too far fetched that we could sneak in. The way the fixtures have fallen for our rivals gives us a great opportunity.
